Address bar fixes – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3610.4

- What is toggle find in page whenusing shortcut. Is this info explained on help page?
It was a user requested feature implemented in the last stable that opens and closes "Find in page" by pressing the same shortcut again (Ctrl+F). But other users disliked it at wanted old behavior back i.e. to find next hit by pressing the shortcut again.
So this is the option that changes this behavior. -
I wonder if the creator of the VB-34531 is glad that he would be able to use a new function now. If he is still alive.
-
And I've updated to the new snapshot and drink a glass of red wine…
Cheers! -
Now when switching full screen on Youtube and Twitch.tv it shows a message "press escape to exit full screen".
Please make it optional, I don't need to get reminded of an obvious feature, don't treat me like a retarded. -
@david-fyfe: The only way to see the speed dial titles FOR INDIVIDUAL ITEMS (for folders everything seems OK) is: Settings -> Start page -> Speed Dial -> Show title on hover

Limited use, but my first impressions of the improvements to the addressbar are good.
I had two main issues with the previous snapshot (and often even before the Omnibox updates).
One issue was autocompletion with typed history. It was often laggy. I would type, then I'd stop and wait for it to autocomplete. If I typed too fast and hit enter, sometimes the autocomplete would change what I type as I hit enter. I'm not sure if it's because I have a massive history file that was causing the delay, but it could be annoying. So far, in this snapshot the autocomplete from typed history seems to be behaving perfectly. It's fast, and seems to more accurately predict the sites.
The second issue was more an Omnibox issue in the last snapshot. Searching would cause issues. Searching with a nickname would commonly not enter the full text I typed. So if I was searching IMDb with the keyword 'i' I would type 'i Terminator 2' and hit enter, and sometimes it would only submit the first few characters and the search would be 'Te'. So far I haven't seen this issue in the latest snapshot.

I don't know what's your excuse for this but make sure to get it back ASAP, thank you. -
Hi folks,
Is it just me (maybe), but with this release, bookmarks top menu bar is not working at all (pressing top right >> button does nothing) -

Not a fact since I have never visited that site, ever. And I clear my history daily. That site is not being suggested by any behavior on my end
As I said, you can see where the suggestion originates from on the far right of the entry. What does it say?
This learning behavior also begs the question, that if I clean my history regularly, how will the browser be able to calculate anything (frequency, recency, etc.)? Will it be starting from scratch every time?
Good question

@iAN-CooG Please report issue to Vivaldi bug tracker, include as much detail as possible.
Once that is done, share the bug number (beginning with VB-) you got by bug report mail. Please read blog article, If you like to know about "A bug’s life at Vivaldi".
Thanks for helping us making Vivaldi better.

No and No.

I haven't seen any notes on it, but is it a known issue that Webpanels don't work anymore with this and the previous Snapshot? Or is that just me?
They just eternally stay in "Loading..." state.
I've since also rebooted the PC so I don't think it's any zombie processes being in the way.
