It was a regression from when we updated the forum earlier this week, the Subscribe box would be checked no matter the global settings.
It has been fixed now so you can unsubscribe from the posts you don't want to get notifications from and check the Subscribe checkbox if you want to be notified.

Don't know if it's the site or the browser, but I can't reach the "View Last Posts" links anymore using spatial navigation in Vivaldi.It used to be a problem with topic titles longer that one line, but now it appears to be on every title: I can only select the title, not the Last Posts link

The captcha for reporting a bug said to answer "seven + three" but it wouldn't accept "ten" - only "10." It should probably accept both answers.

Anyone know how to embed videos from Vimeo? Vivaldi.net UI doesn't work, just leaves an empty space in my page. And the embed code from Vimeo doesn't show the video– just shows a text link to my video. It shouldn't be a problem regarding copyright infringement, as this is a video that I took myself, so I have no idea what to do at this point!

I opened this topic in "Vivaldi Community site feedback (Not for the browser!)Feeds and "My Profile" unreachable ?", and here is again the attached picture to explain my problem. When I choose "My Profile" (1), I get "Error 0" . I removed "feeds" and all my applications, tried with Opera 12.17, Opera 32, and Vivaldi, but this error always happened. In the end I went to "Edit Profile / Delete account" … and I did it .. maybe thinking of reinventing a sgdgandco2 later . I was blocked 2 days, but though was able to login again. So here I am, my destiny in your hands
! It is not serious because I'm not so active at that moment, but if you could repair or explain my problem, it would be great.

There's a downloading issue with Vivaldi browser on vivaldi.net (it's not browser issue but site).
How to reproduce:- Go to https://vivaldi.net/en-US/teamblog/68-snapshot-1-0-330-3-bookmarks-trash-folder-and-panel-hiding (or any other snapshot topic).
- Click "Windows: 32-bit" link ( https://vivaldi.com/download/download.php?f=Vivaldi.1.0.330.3.exe )
You will be requested to save the file, and you'll see a blank page.
This is not normal. No blank page should be.
The reason is that no "Content-Disposition" HTTP header:
Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="Vivaldi.1.0.330.3.exe"

This is pretty surreal but every one of my searches returns only Russian language results. I'd search and see if anyone else has the problem but since I can't read Russian… :lol:
My time zone is set for Phoenix and I went back and entered my country as USA. Any other ideas how to fix it? Thanks!

It might be your system language settings. I bought this PC in France but changed the system language and location to UK when I upgraded to Win10… but somehow there's still some stupid setting somewhere which insists on passing French as the language selection to certain websites (and when installing e.g. Flash updates). Coincidentally I was looking for a way to override this in Vivaldi this morning, since I know you could do this in old Opera.
No idea why yours would be set to Russian. If it's Google, I know you can select to use a different language from the main page and that selection is kept from then on in a cookie. It's also possible you have a cookie already which set it to Russian for some reason (maybe you were using a proxy server...?).

I have recently started getting email notifications about replies to threads in which I have posted. The subscribe box to this thread was enabled too, before I disabled it.
The link in the most recent email leads to the thread, and displays the button in Turkish.

They've been updating and revising the forum software. I also noticed that the receipt of notifications changed from "opt in" to "opt out" again. I suspect this was an oversight during the update process. I didn't mention it, because I kind of assumed community managers would realize it had happened and fix it without our needing to say something. After three days, perhaps something does need to be said.

It's also possible you have a cookie already which set it to Russian for some reason (maybe you were using a proxy server…?).Long story short, it's not system languages—it only happens in searches on the Vivaldi forum. Also not cookies as far as I can tell. I wipe all cookies every time I quite the browser.
I will say some of the results are now in English, so maybe the forum search is just really bad? I think I will just start doing site vivaldi.net searches from google.

If I use Quick Reply as opposed to Reply Topic, the subscription box is checked by default.

Something weird going on…
I replied to the feature request thread in the Vivaldi for Windows forum. Nothing shows up since this post by oviiione which was sent about eight hours before mine!
I went back to submit again since I thought maybe I had clicked the wrong thing; and it said duplicate post removed. If I look in "My Topics" it says I submitted the last post in the thread, but again if I click that I just go to the generic thread and there's nothing after oviiione's.
I noticed this thread had about five duplicate posts by someone else in it a few days ago and clicking on the "last post" button from My Topics always takes me to the top of the page (currently page 103)…

The feature request thread apparently has more comments than the software can manage. It takes between minutes and hours for new comments to appear on line and be able to be read.
I get mail notifications of comments on that thread and when I go to the thread, they are never there. Several hours or a day later, they appear.

This morning it says there are two new posts in that thread… click it... top of page 103 and oviiione is still the last poster.
Funny if we've hit the thread limit here - in the Opera forums I was part of a gang trying for "The World's Longest Blog" and (somehow) by talking garbage and playing games with each other there we managed to reach far into the tens of thousands of posts on a single thread. Eventually it was us who got bored of it, not Opera's website!
