The Official Vivaldi.net Bug Thread (Not for Vivaldi browser!)
-
Vivaldi.net very slow today… 13:00 hrs EST.
20 - 30 seconds to load a page (Opera 12.7 on Win Vista)
Back later.
-
Vivaldi blogs is a big mess ….. perhaps all the team is busy with Vivaldi browser ?
-
So, I've open all my blog posts at https://vivaldi.net/ru/blogs?view=blogger&layout=listings&id=494 and all category links (under each post; Posted in Games for example) are broken:
[Games](/\/ru/blogs/categories/categories/listings/games)
That's one weird anchor!

I don't know if someone already posted this, but i can't find it on the last few pages of this thread:
I can't reload a blog post, if i switched the comments page. I get a 404 error each time.
Howto:
- Open a blog post and go to page 2 (or another) from the comments or use this link: https://vivaldi.net/blogs/teamblog/item/11-snapshot-1-0-118-2#!/ccomment-page=2
- Reload the page –> 404 error
If you open a comments page, the url changes from "https://vivaldi.net/blogs/teamblog/item/11-snapshot-1-0-118-2#!/ccomment-page=2" to "https://vivaldi.net/blogs/teamblog/item/!/ccomment-page=2". So at a reload, it wants to load the new url and fails. It shows a 404 error (https://vivaldi.net/blogs/teamblog/item/!/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=15) for me.

Hi rabe85,
thank you for letting us know, this bug should be fixed now.
Please let us know if you run into anything strange again
Regards,

I have the same issue. I enter "localhost" and it does a google search. Then I enter "http://localhost" which works, but it crops off "http://" then on a page refresh it does a google search. I have to manually enter "http://localhost" every time I want to refresh the page I am developing.

Hi,
an error occurred when I was creating my account (not this one I'm using now):
In the first page for signing up(basic information ), I left Last Name blank unfilled, but it was ok to continue into the second page.
I uploaded an image as my cover, but I clicked the X button and cancelled it, just submitted.
Then the error occurred, it was about "NULL Primary Key" and something (Sorry I have closed this page and forgotten what it said exactly).
And I didn't get any activation mail for my registration mail address (like what I got for THIS account),
and when I try to sign up again it warns that the account I provide is not available, and it says that account is blocked when I try to login or click 'I forget my password/username'Then I registered this account because I didn't find an official service email address(maybe better to have this)
that blocked account's username is "chelxom", and my browser is Yandex future beta version

I have the same problem with Fedora21and Vivaldi 1.0.118.19 .
I made a symbolic link libudev.so.0 to libudev.so.1 and it seems to work so far.I am a long term Opera user and wish Vivaldi good times

I found it again (#18463)
It comes if i want to reload the page after i wrote a comment in the blog.

I'm using the English language version of the forum, yet after replying in some topic I received an e-mail notification about new posts, including URL to the German language forum (not the local Deutsch forum, but the topic I replied in, with "de" instead of "en-US"). Very strange…

My birthdate is correct when I go to edit my profile, but is showing as one day earlier on my profile page.
-
When the user/category header have been maximized (i.e. the bits you can expand/contract with the [+] button) they seem to be hijacking or canceling touch-to-scroll input on my Windows tablet, making it so I have to use the scrollbar instead. Touch scrolling only gets restored after minimizing them, or expanding and contracting them after a pageload. May also/instead be a Vivaldi bug, but I have yet to see the issue crop up on other message boards.

Me too.

@stoil89bg, I replied to your message separately.
But essentially, this is happening because of the language chosen for those blog entries when published.
Blog post that are published for specific language gets displayed only when user choose the language as their UI from the language selector within Vivaldi.net (the flag at the bottom of this page)Hope this helps.

There are few bugs I found during registration:
1. Leading dash in email field is allowed (scr2) - medium
There aren't any notification.2. 'Confirm Your pass' notification should be near 'Reconfirm password' field - trivial
Just to make it simple3. Notification about invalid Nickname isn't clear (scr1.png) - trivial
Well, if a nickname is already used - it's ok, but it should be stated in notification4. DOB from future is allowed (scr3) - trivial
If more detailed or formal reports are needed I can provide them.

Language codes are a part of the url on this site. This becomes a bug when anyone posts a link somewhere on the site.
Example: I'm reading the site in English, a German has a link in her blog to a thread on the forum, both the blogpost and the thread are in English. Suddenly, the UI is in German.
I think it should just be a profile setting, not a part of the url. If you want to keep them in the url (the only reason I can think of is for external sites linking here) you could also just redirect users who are logged in to their preferred language.

When people specify the text size in their post to be "six," the top of said post gets cut off (see above post or attached screenshot).

Anyone else notice, the Friends/Messages/Notifications icons are showing as squares, and have been for a couple of days at least.

Yes, I noticed that today and thought it looked different, but I wan't sure I was recalling what they normally look like. Aren't they normally small red human bust (head and shoulders) icons, similar to but much smaller than the default user icon/avatar?

For some reason, they are showing in Vivaldi and not Opera.
