Interesting to see your opinions. The largest hedge-fund companies on the planet now trade bitcoin...
I don't use Brave. Opera has a crypto wallet too I think... everyone wants your information. I just want a browser that doesn't take up 50% of my computer resources while selling my every click to a third party.... we will see...
Back to crypto... there are still people making some crazy money flipping coins.. at the end of the day... who cares how you get there, as long as you get that Lambo

Crypto, as a shorthand for cryptocurrencies and blockchain, is a big subject. Mostly, the public knowledge about it is around currencies, speculation and thefts from exchanges. But the real technology behind it all is the blockchain, and that can have many uses besides Bitcoin et al.
The blockchain enables the trustless, secure transfer of value between parties without requiring an intermediary, such as a bank. Cryptocurrency, functioning as cash, is merely one such value. But a cryptocurrency can also serve as a utility token for the transfer of any kind of value.
If you want to see an advanced use case you could try looking into Internet Computer. In brief, the Internet Computer allows developers to build and run entire applications directly on a global, decentralized network without traditional servers, databases, or cybersecurity infrastructure. It enables end-users to interact with applications seamlessly, without needing any technical knowledge about cryptocurrencies or requiring a crypto wallet.
It may not be immediately apparent, but when you unpack this, it means applications and data running in the cloud but owned securely and privately by the developers and end-users respectively, not by Big Tech.
