There is a bug in the
Calendar Agenda
widget.The
svg
in the:before
element is not showing. I can't seem to find the location it's trying to fetch from either -
Thank you, Vivaldi team for your commitment to your loyal userbase. Loving what you have done with 7.0. I use Windows PC and a google pixel Android phone. I will be great if you can release the 7.0 update on Android at your earliest. The sync is broken between the Android 6.9 and Windows 7.0. I am sure you will do that but just wanted to bring that to your attention here.
Thanks once again for your commitment to your mission. I will be a contributor and supporter.

@vivaldawg
Hi, what do you meant with broken, tested this with adding a bookmark on Android 6.9. It appear on desktop 7.0 after some time or with manually trigger sync.Cheers, mib
-
@mib2berlin Bookmark shows up. But, the tabs are not syncing in real-time or fast enough. A lot of times I have to close the browsers entirely to make the tabs across devices be visible. That's the main sync feature that I use a lot. I read a lot of links on my phone and I would like to continue those on my desktop and vice versa. I am not saying its not working at all. It does not work reliably compared to say, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Brave. In those browsers, the open tabs sync so fast.
-
@vivaldawg
Yep, the big companies have a lot of server power.
7.0 for desktop add faster sync, no idea if this change something for mobiles it they change to 7.0 too.
Anyway, I havechrome://sync-internals
as speed dial, hit the Triggere GetUpdate button and you sync instantly.Cheers, mib
-
@mib2berlin Makes sense. I will try the speed dial method and see. Thanks a lot for the tips. Appreciate it. I will post back here. Your method would be enough for my use case as long as after hitting sync I can see the open tabs on my mobile Vivaldi show up on desktops vivaldi and vice versa

I absolutely LOVE this new update it kicks
! The new tab page with widgets is a major game changer, I am loving this new look, I hope you guys remain the best browser in the world, which I am sure you will!
The only thing I can see that would be nice for a widget is to just simply view the calender itself without having to add an event, that would be awesome for me to schedule things, which I see you already have calender as a widget, but it only says add an event, it would be nice to view the entire days in the month itself before even having to make an event. Besides that, I am lovin your browser to the core.
-
@zack56, you can set the Calendar as home/new tab page without problems in the settings.
-
I did like my look and feel of Vivaldi, until today. What was that ?
-
@hyperswiss You can feel free to download vivaldi 6 , do not be like that because I love this new look and feel bro. Try using a theme, go to the theme store.
-
@Catweazle I can do that yeah, but, I love the new tab they just made, I just want them to change the widget is all, but I will try what you are saying. But either way thank you, I like this feature you showed me. How did you know about it? lol

Wow! This is the first time I haven't congratulated you guys on the new update.
You broke the one rule you shouldn't have: DON'T CHANGE THE CURRENT SETTINGS OF THE USER.
Thanks to the new update, lots of my Appearance settings changed AND some bugs like this one was introduced: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/102211/v7-workaround-remove-tab-spacing-in-maximized-windows?_=1730025652422
Anyway, I hope you fix this soon, this feels like a misstep that may happen again and sends some rather unpleasant feelings to the user.

@neltherion
Hi, nothing to fix, just check the post above yours.
I am not happy with the team decision to change the default themes but try to get older designs back in other browsers or software.
Remember Windows Vista. -

@mib2berlin: Nothing to fix? "Remove Tab Spacing in Maximized Windows" is broken and a CSS hack shouldn't be the way to properly fix it.
