A New Vivaldi – A Whole New Browsing Experience

Nice!
Unfortunately, no syncing of workspaces yet (so that you can simply open a desktop workspace on your laptop when you're on the road). That's the main feature I'm waiting for.

@Godlike Settings → appearance → Window Appearance
Section User Interface Density
(*) Compact

Restart
Effective immediately, no need to restart

Nice, great work

Nice update but the appearance/theme thing is a bit of a mess.
The curved button default wastes a lot of space when you've got a bunch of tabs open. How can I reduce the corner radius?
Also, how can I stop the webpage colour bleeding into the tab accents?!
-
Got a really annoying bug which is causing a major usability issue...
On Pinned Tabs, the popup thumbnail appears at the bottom not below the Pinned Tab.
Also, I'm getting a phantom popup thumbnail from the pined tabs when the mouse isn't even hovering over them. And when I go to click on a webpage element sometimes the thumbnail pops up and switches tab.

@Aaron Damn, I didn't know I'm that blind! Thanks! 🥰
-
@JDub Themes->Editor->Settings->Rounded corners, set that to 0.
-
Hover effects for the Min/Max/Close button in the toolbar are really hard to see, no matter the background color.
I'm on Ubuntu 24.10.
-
@Godlike Many thanks - the accent from page setting was there too!
Things are good again!

Maybe adjust here:

@dpn Please can this be sorted ASAP, I can barely use the browser at the moment.
-
@dpn Is this what you expected?

I'm very grateful, that we have Vivaldi as a browser, but i neither need nor like the new dashboard-feature. And some other things coming up with > V6
In my opinion a browser should be a tool to access web content - not a toy for bored people, searching for something, that will entertain them.
People may argue, that you can switch it off, but the feature is now implemented in the code. And Vivaldi seems to leave the path being a small, fast tool, but becoming more and more a fat guy like FireFox.
No more coming up within a second, but taking meanwhile 3-4s to load a requested page. All that just to look a bit like TikTok, Instagram, web.de, (you name it...)
Makes me sad.

It´s great!
-
@dpn I check internally some reports and could not see such issue.
-
Okay great, now please tell me 2 things:
- How to revert that ugly rounded tabs back to normal ones
- Did you finally fix the bookmark sidebar glitches, or adding new useless features is your top priority over the bugfixes?

Any bug report done by you? Which bug number?

The bug that i cited in RC2 thread, when feeds are in folders (new feature), even when you delete entries, they reappear when the feed reader scans the entries again, continues in final version.
I filled a bug report about this (VB-110688)
