Snapshot 1.0.340.7 - Silent Tabs For Users, Netflix support and HTML5 notifications
-
Option to disable address bar autocomplete, https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser/3846-url-autocomplete

"Final" is just a stable version. It's not "We're all done." It's final "for the moment." The very next snapshot will have more features and optimizations. We are in the age of continual progress. Nothing is ever done.

I don't have Netflix, but could someone explain how Vivaldi was previously not compatible with it? How could any Chromium-based browser (or any other current browser, for that matter) not be compatible with a streaming video site?

Similarly, it's smooth and fast here, on my 3-year old AMD 6-core (FX-6120, which is supposed to be "inferior" to the i7) processor and 10 GB of RAM, but it's ALSO smooth and fast on my 12-year-old laptop and 9-year old tower, both of which are 32-bit systems with 3.25 GB of addressable RAM and old dual-core processors. Maybe there's something about i7 processors that it doesn't like. But the only place I ever found it even the least bit laggy was on my 13-year old tower that's so weak I had to put Lubuntu on it so that I didn't have time to read a novel between a mouse click and the UI response. So clearly there are systems where it's not smooth and fast, and I could SWEAR everyone who is complaining about this is running an i7 processor.

More nice features and fixes. Thank you. STFU tabs! Epic acronym. So glad single key shortcuts are working.

Widevine didn´t work
-
This seems like an amazing idea, if it can be done that is
-
I spoke too soon - it's still happening quite a lot.
-
Exactly my thoughts

I am hoping we will eventually be able to assign different motions to the different actions. And eventually specify our own actions. I have a disability and some actions are much easier for me to make reliably than others. I'd like to see straight diagonal moves as well.

So, just to ask again, why is 64 bit still "experimental"? What does this even mean?
-
Fine on mine…
-
Works for me fine too
-
To shut single tabs while others still are able play is one of those features I thought I would never experience. Thank you, really. This is great.
-
It's fine on my i7, also. This is on Windows 8.1 64-bit with the 32-bit version of Vivaldi.
-
My theory: Mostly it means they are not monitoring and repairing it for bugs to anything like the degree they are for the x86 version. They build it onto x64 chromium code from the x86 version and put it out, and cross their fingers, and if if works, great, if not, they don't have time with limited personnel to police it like they do the x86 version - and SOME things, due to the difference in architecture, may be broken. So they just throw it out there as a kind of experiment and with luck, it's pretty much OK.

Vivaldi works really well on my i7 4770T in my desktop, but is horribly slow and freezes a ton on my i5 4210U laptop.

Hi! I think the Vivaldi browser has a bug. When I try to open any website, sometimes it doesnt load anything and instead there is a black screen in the web area, and I can't see anything of any website.
Also I noticed that the 100% scale is changed to NaN% . Can you guys fix this bug? I'm using Win7 32-bit.
