Snapshot 1.0.330.3 - Trash folder for bookmarks and notes, plus panel hiding
-
I'm experienced the same issue.
When I have many tabs opened, some of them freeze.
Viv 1.0.330.3 (Beta) (32 bits), Windows XP SP2 32 -
That's what is meant by Panel Hiding. The mail and contacts panel will appear later when they are ready, but showing a button for them now is rather pointless.

Hmm, it works for me on Vivaldi x64 for Win7. Tried both description and nickname (after 2nd time launching in case it makes a difference).

Also experienced. Few minutes of inactivity is enough. Also, after the update (through the updater, from latest snapshot), most of my tabs just didn't show anything (just blank white), refresh didn't work, had to close and reopen them.
In addition, more strange things: after a couple of tabs "froze", I closed Vivaldi, reopened, and all of my tabs are duplicated (one blank and one working).It also created some tab stacks which contained only one tab.
Using Win 7 64-bit.

Requests
- that the 'Clear browsing data' does not delete all my Speed Dial thumbnails at the next start of the browser;
- that there is an option to refresh all my Speed Dial thumbnails at once;
- that the 'Clear browsing data' option goes back to the 'start' screen upon completion or cancellation of the task;
- that it is possible to perform a search from the URL bar;
- that it is possible to perform a search from the Search bar without having to, first, select a Search Engine (via the magnifying glass icon).

Doing Right Click and Close Tab on a pinned tab doesn't close it. Have to unpin the tab then I can close it. Win7 32b

After installing this build, Pandora never seems to load and start playing music. At least, it doesn't load in the few minutes I usually give it to see if it will work.

Whoa, Recline a little there, Buddha.
The numbers tell me at a glance if there is anything in the folder without using a third-party tool. For the Trash folder it's showing that there is indeed trash that needs to be taken out but for others it can help differentiate between similar folders with different content:
SpeedDial [6] (your basic Vivaldi 'Dial)
SpeedDial [27] (Imported from Opera 12)
SpeedDial [14] (Imported from Opera 33)
SpeedDial [1] (Yet-another SpeedDial under construction) -
Nice, blurry fonts are no more on Linux. I don't know and don't really care whatever it's thanks to latest Plasma update or Vivaldi. I am just glad it works as should be.
-
We're not talking about a post-1.0-development here. I just stated this to let you know that you may even see new features before the first stable.
Features will of course continue to be added thereafter for subsequent versions. -
Sweet! Now my unnecessary concerns are allayed. Thank you.

Hotcyr,
Open vivaldi://settings/tabs (not a live link) then look at the "Pinned Tabs" options:
(O) Don't Close Pinned Tabs
( ) Close as Other Tabs -
Bug related to MacBook Pro with multitouch pad: Scrolling with two fingers works nicely, but if you happens to make a tiny doubleclick with both fingers, it changes to the neighbour tab instead of scrolling the page.
Otherwise, loving what Vivaldi is becoming.

I'm experiencing the same issue. Win XP SP2
-
Yes!, exactly what happens to me too.
-
In Opera "mouse up gesture" was just moving to the top of the page, not stop loading - it was much more useful and I miss itsorely, I catch myself doing that many times a day. It's very confusing now. "Mouse down" to move to the bottom of the page should also be added. Ideally mouse gestures should be editabe by users!
-
Long-long-standing bug still present.
On visual tabs, the Close icon (x) does not always appear when you mousehover the tab. Hovering off and on again usually makes it appear.
Tabs Position (o)Right Side
Tab Thumbnails, [x]Page Theme ColourVista 32 with an ATI X1300PRO video card. 2GB RAM.
-
When hovering over new tabs that are already loaded in the background (inactive tabs) the webpage content of the popup thumbnails is not being shown.
-
Try reloading the page. In order to decrease the insane number of HDD rewrites, Vivaldi now loads these thumbs once per session, unless the tab content is changed by the user, and they usually carry over to new sessions as well. If you have no thumb, reloading the page should create one.
