Snapshot 1.0.303.37 - Beta Candidate with Thumbnail improvements
-
I have to say I really miss managing the forms. I used it a lot in an old Opera. I hate getting every my type error as an option and filling in adress bar in e-shops is still annoying to me.
-
Free memory is better but still 100% CPU after awhile.
Yes, had deleted 133 Meg Top Sites and re-booted. It's been a LONG day and continues.

If you visit http://www.cbs.com/shows/big_bang_theory/news/1004869/tesla-ceo-elon-musk-to-appear-on-upcoming-episode-of-the-big-bang-theory/ Vivaldi might crash (might be a Chromium bug), might be the ad server first try the ad server refuse the connection, then a page reload and an instant crash (crash report sent to Apple)
OS X 10.11.1

Tanks for this snapshot.
Fivacons looks bad when we are on the tab.
Example if you're on youtube, the yotube background favicon is not transparent.
And more option for password would be nice.
I think you should enable ctrl+scroll wheel to zoom on a website. -
Yeah, I see that ctrl left arrow isn't fully working either for going back a page.
Also, I think it'd be awesome to see keyboard shortcuts for rewind and forward buttons.
-
It's a shame someone who worked for Opera (Petter) would end up spewing anti-Russian propaganda on twitter. Maybe Vivaldi was wrong for you and instead you should have joined Fox News backing neocon vermin that keep us locked in a dark age. Opera and Vivaldi need open minds.
-
It would be if they didn't attack Vladimir Putin with typical U.S. propaganda on Twitter. Lets hope Petter enjoys the World War III his buddies like Victoria Nuland are causing all because their Empire is dead and backward not to mention Wall St is totally BANKRUPT! Long live the BRICS New Development Bank and good riddons to Western hell. De-dollarization and development will continue as the World Land Bridge/New Silk Road brings prosperity, peace and a win-win situation for the World.

If I uninstalled Vivaldi, and then reinstalled it on this snapshot, do I have to delete the "Top Sites" files to benefit from memory/disk usage?
-
Probably depends on how big the file is.
-
Congrats on the beta! However, I cleared the Top Sites file, in fact I deleted the whole Default directory, but I'm still getting high disk usage here. Anybody else?
-
Well, Windows 10 wouldn't let me delete the files. It kept giving me errors. I'd like to know if I have to deal with it at all if I just uninstall V and then reinstall it in the new snapshot. Would you happen to know?
-
And to clarify, there were 2 "Top Sites" files and 2 "Top Sites-journal" files. One Top Sites file as around 9mb, the other around 22mb.
-
Can you add a option:
Do not open links in the current TAB,
In the current TAB open links on the left or right.
How to check save password?
How to export favorites? -
Those are some pretty tiny files. I wouldn't worry about them. Mine's 290 MB, and I'm not worrying about it right now, nor am I having memory or HDD problems.
-
I gotta say, tho, it shouldn't be possible to have two files of the same name in the same folder. Are you sure both the file name and extension are exactly the same? Windows doesn't allow that.
-
Nope.
-
Large gap between NEW TAB button and TRASH icon. Could this be tightened up?

Can anyone else add to this experience:-
I have just started receiving 'dubious', un-solicited emails, referencing vivaldi.
This IS new, has anyone else experienced this?
Is there 'information leakage' occurring?

Ditto here have no idea if so but lately have been getting a ton of same. I blocked IP addresses then had to go to URL because they started using *.party, *.win, *.download on and on.**Update edit:
I doubt it is coming from Viv on me. Checked my profile and it is being sent to my REAL "personal" email NOT my single use encrypted address where I can KNOW where leakage is occurring. Must be a friends computer is infected with robo malware…aggravating sorry.

I wish they would draw and quarter these guys. -
Uninstalling doesn't remove the user files. And why wouldn't Win10 let you delete it? Do you not have admin privileges? Did you have Vivaldi open at the time? At worst, if you were to uninstall it, you should then be able to delete the folders and start over again.
-
Hmm, my grouped/tiled tabs now show up as individual, standalone tabs when I restart Vivaldi.
Win10x64 Vx32: Confirmed
On a side-note: these short-lived Vivaldi.net sessions drive me nuts!
Edit: for whatever reason, this post has been appended at the end instead of being added inline at the right context
