Snapshot 1.0.303.32 - Beta Candidate
-
On my win10 machine with UI minimize on 80%. I am still having the context menu popup outside the screen.
-
Any news regarding the update issue on Windows 10 insider builds? I always check the blog whenever there is a new snapshot anyway, but would be great if checking for updates works and of course, since TH2 seems to be around the corner, it might be better to get it working asap

Duplicate a pinned tab creates another pinned tab. Intended behaviour? I thought, I get a normal tab.
Viv x64 standalone, win 7 x64 -
Scenario that will yield something that seems like a one-off index type of bug:
- Open up three tabs, pin all of them, keeping the selected one as the rightmost one.
- Click on the tab in the middle to select it.
- Observe that while the visual appearance indicates that the middle tab is selected, you still see the content of the rightmost tab.
- Click on the leftmost tab, and you will see the content of the middle tab.
- This "one-off" feeling will persist until you open up a normal, not pinned, tab.
-
Doesn't show anything there either. It's an earlier update that broke it.

Duplicate a pinned tab creates another pinned tab. Intended behaviour? I thought, I get a normal tab.
Viv x64 standalone, win 7 x64To me, "Clone" means to create an identical copy, complete with the Tab History, so why not it's pinned status too?
-
Oh why is that? It is Ctrl+Wheel in almost all other programs nowadays (not only browsers). It is an UI standard. As Ctrl+Wheel seems not bound to any other function, please restore the standard behaviour.

I switched to Vivaldi being my default browser! Nice build, btw. I can live with all current glitches, only this one is driving me nuts: VB-9363 (Alt key activating mouse gestures cannot be turned off) - this one causes random tab closes, backs, forwards, etc. so I lose work regularly. This happens both on Windows and Linux. Pretty please give me a chance (I am willing to hex edit config files :-)) to switch off the Alt key.

O12 doesn't duplicate the pin status, therefore, it has struck me

Before I forget: I would really love a way to limit the cache size. I usually had the disk cache actually off in Opera where on the other hand Vivaldi seems to go totally overboard with it's cache, which in this day and age of mostly dynamic pages I could happily live without (and so could my SSD wear level…).

Thank you, Jon. I've been always big fan of your work: https://vivaldi.net/forum/lounge/1159-how-did-you-find-out-about-old-opera since childhood, thank you for making web a better place.

On my mac mini most pages show up only if I browse in private mode.
Anyway, keep up the good work. Vivaldi is really shaping up nicely.

in fullHD monitor windows 10. All sites shows SMALL!!! Make the setting scale for all pages
-
Download always fails if more than one file simultaneously , Does anybody facing this issue?
-
Just my 2 cents…. You should get extensions fully supported by Vivaldi Beta. Allow me to refer you to VB-9694. This is not a specific extension problem rather a generic issue with extensions that open pop-ups when being setup.
Hope you can give this problem a fair amount of relevance as I believe that this may be a blocking point for several people to fully adopt Vivaldi (to me it is).
Keep up the good work. -
1. I just need Sync before Vivaldi become my default browser.
2. Please use Chinese(Simplified)/Chinese(Traditional) instead of Chinese(China)/Chinese(Taiwan)Thank for your efforts!

He said he added it.

All seems good enough now for a Beta. Just a couple of usability issues from Opera 12.17 still missing that would be nice to fix if they are easy to do.
Mouse Gestures:
GestureDown = Open link in background page | Go to end | New page
GestureUp = Open link in new page | Stop | Go to start | Close pageMinimize Tab on Click (to quickly switch to recent tab and back).
Middle-click to open new tab or even better "PageBar Open URL On MiddleClick"

Some suggestions:
- Add a column to the bookmarks manager to sort by date added/bookmarked
- Add an option to bookmark in just one click to a predefined folder (like unsorted bookmarks and the heart button on Opera).
- Improve the history and extensions page style, right now is very barebones and too similar to Chrome and not fitting to the Vivaldi Style.
I used Vivaldi this morning after 3-4 months without doing so and it feels a lot more stable and reliable and it seems the little details have been ironed out and i look forward to using it more in the future. Those three things were some of the things i missed (Opera user).

As a previous power user of Opera, I am excited as ever to be a part of the final days of the Technical Preview. I can't wait for the Beta, and have had this as my default browser now for well over 2 months now. Your team is the best set of devs that the online community has at the moment, and it shows
