Snapshot 1.0.303.27 - Further tab fixes and search field improvements
-
Graphics driver, hmm. That's possible, it does/did it Chrome and Vivaldi. After being bitten a few times I close/reload a new snapshot at least three times before I make a comment.
I'll see if disabling some of the graphics flags or LCD antialiasing helps instead of leaving everything at Default.

As others had pointed out, the typed history arrow in the address bar is some transparent white instead of grey like the arrow in the search bar.
-
Ok, so there's important thing. Why there's no "show address bar" in view menu? FQC is not perfect and I need sometimes to use address bar.
-
It still happens, that the little "x" that's on right hand side of each tab to close the tab, does not appear on the active tab while hoovering with the mouse over that active tab.
The "x" appears when you hoover over an inactive tab and return to the active tab. -
Bug: Not just the thumbnail (ie the picture on the tab itself), but the the pop-up preview (ie the thing that pops-up when you hover the mouse over the tab) is also wrong.
The bug has been present in at least the previous 2 (possibly 3) versions.

I too am waiting for sessions. However - i am using am using Session Buddy for the time being until its implemented natively. I figure it won´t be that difficult to transfer collected sessions once its implemented manually. Works quite well for me so far.

tbh it crashed Vivaldi here for the first time I tried (a few sec ago…) now it just loads fine (within 1 sec) with +- 10 tabs opened.
W8.1 x64 with this x32 build -
A little bug, middle click in blank area of tabbar not open an empty tab. Linux Sabayon x86_84, KDE 5.
-
More extensive session management is clearly on our list.
-
:!: GMX MailCheck extension don't work, please fix VB-9592.
When click in the extension on menu entry for new tab (go to web mail page), this tab is blank.
Why mail extension? M3 support (when it's ready) only IMAP, but GMX FreeMail only POP.
-
The memory footprint and response have both improved dramatically! It used to take over a gig' of memory for two Tabs, now it's only ~500,000k for six Tabs; never thought that'd happen before Beta. Yay!
I k'nuked the Top Sites file just for grins and giggles because it'd grown to ~90MB but left everything else alone; restarted again and 'it stopped doing that'. That's weird because it stopped doing it in Chrome too for no particular reason. :x
The worst example I can remember is from omgchrome.com. There are or were at least three or four of the 'rays' coming from each and every New Comment on the right-hand side of the page and from every singe user comment below the main text of the article. Scrolling the page or moving the mouse made the 'rays' follow and realign on one another much the same way as the FBI Eyes or the Lightbeam/Collusion extensions.
It was kind of cool but kind of annoying too and because the devs keep adding new Experiments and Settings with no explanation of what they do or what the Default setting is supposed to be I was hoping it was something that could be toggled.

Thanks for the reply Jon!
-
Don't know if you guys did anything but I just attempted to install it again and this time it updated properly.
-
Where did you read that M3 would support only IMAP?
-
No snapshot today, jinxed it!
-
Guys, are you gonna work on Speed Dial thumbnails? In Win7x64 they work kinda wonky while moving them around. On the other hand in WinXPx86 the transition between thumbnails is very smooth, no jittering.

Sorry, hit the wrong posting button. Please ignore.

I have a free gmx.net account that I have had for some years, and it works with IMAP just fine using Thunderbird. Not saying that your request shouldn't be granted, for I think that POP3 should be supported, but just clarifying that IMAP does work on the free GMX.net accounts… at least for me it does.

I noticed that even with tab animations enabled, no animations show. It acts as if they're disabled or don't work. This is happening on this new snapshot both at home (Win 10 64bit on 64bit Vivaldi) and work (Win7 32bit on 32bit Vivaldi).

[Feature request] Optional ability to re-map the mouse gestures to browser actions. E.g. change the tab closing action to straight down mouse move. I have a disability and that move (straight down) is easier to make accurately than down and right.
