Snapshot 1.0.303.27 - Further tab fixes and search field improvements
-
Bug: The usual, fonts are still washed out.
Wish: Please add a statusbar text for mouseover on startpage tiles. I would like to see which exact page i pinned there. -
For the last few snapshots, Vivaldi has consistently closed when I group all of my tabs into a single stack and then right click on the stack and choose "Close Tab Stack." As far as I can tell, Vivaldi isn't crashing–it's cleanly exiting. Can anyone confirm?

Yes…..As usual YOU ARE correct left FF to see.I think the problems everyone is having is WHERE LOCATED or TERMS. Talking about the URL block it works EXACTLY as you say. Only shows with NEW tab…I think some of the problem is I was looking for it on the RIGHT of block NOT left.
Then others may be looking at search engine tab to the right of said URL block.
[b[color=lime]]Again I had to go back to FF to finish….I'm wondering if there is code in memory that doesn't get completely flushed out when switching browsers from either one or both.

Thanks for another bugfix. I noted a thing from previous build, I dunno if this is currently here but:
BUG
Look at the space on the top, after the "+" (new tab) button, where is painted in black.

Even with many tabs, it's kept that huge space, unnecessarily. Could it be fixed ? It would make easier to see the tabs, because the gained space.SUGGESTION:
I am using the tabs in a large size and I noted even in large size, the "X" (close) button always appears at side of the site title. It could appears on the bottom of the tab, making easier of closing them. -
Win 7 64, 32 Viv
Ditto here maybe only on the god Apple OS build. -
Hint: now possibly at beginning of box and only when new tab.
-
I THINK what I'm seeing here is that, in pursuit of efficiency and resource economy, background tabs are being sent into hibernation after a period of non-use. So far, so good. Unfortunately, this not only means that the tabs load from scratch when we open them (which is OK with me), but also that any hibernated tab has no thumbnail. Can the thumbnails be stored/kept until the tab is reopened?

BUG
[mac] Switching to fullscreen mode hides extensions.
-
… and give user possibility to hide it and earn some more free space. Search from the adress field suffices.
Have you tried to uncheck Settings->Search->Display Search Field in Address Bar :?:
That was easy enough :). I guess I took that option as something else, like enabling search in adress field :). Problem solved.

tvrain.ru still crashes vivaldi after login
-
I recognize that it may be my fault but, it's possible to get ride of that "V" button when you select to show the complete main menu?
-
I see Vivaldi is still opening with the Speed Dial tab on the left. Is that going to be fixed or made user option, as someone indicated it would with the next build a few ago? Thanks,
-
It did that for me, but I noticed when I turned on the Chrome Flag for the overlay scrollbar then the scrollbar turns on when you move a tab and open a new tab with Speed Dial. It gets very finicky.
When I turn off that setting, I get no problems. But I like the look of the overlay scrollbar.
I think Vivaldi should design their own scrollbar.

Confirm, x64 Win 7.
Also, as with Fangsta, I see no logic to a width limit for the side tab bar/column/doodad.
-
This seems to happen when you start with a load of tabs too, which is nice What doesn't happen is that the sidebar web pages load when not focused, I'd like it to apply to the sidebars too in the same way
-
The page loading statistics in the addressbar push the address arrow to the left when a page is loading. It should remain fixed, like the bookmark button.
-
Is there any chance of getting Sessions before we get to Beta? It's one of my favourite old Opera features.
I know it's unlikely, but no harm in asking, right?
-
I like the separate search field, personally.

Opening new window/private window is too slow after the new update. It's taking between 10-15 seconds to open a blank window.
Also, what happened to the lines in private window? Now, there is a yellow key beside the address-bar, otherwise everything else look the same as regular window. I preferred the previous style (stripes on tab bar), it provided a quick visual differentiation.
Win 10 x64 build 10565 (Vivaldi 32) -
I've been seeing more and more fast-moving gray rays that flicker and point to … I'm not sure what. One of them has invaded the URL bar and the ray radiates from the new tiny tee that replaced the drop-down arrow.
Did I pick up a trojan somewhere or is this something new that I don't understand?
