Snapshot 1.0.303.23 - Tab and Thumbnail improvements
-
This seems to have fixed my crippling slowness on the last snapshot, thanks for the update. Will report back if anything changes.
-
Try deleting your Top Sites file and restarting. It's in your user data/default directory, it grows and grows, and eventually updating it takes forever. That may well be your process.
Deleting it seems to cause no harm at all. It's a Chromium thing.
-
Thanks a million for this second update in a week! I don't know how you have done it but I have 65-ish tabs open and 10 processes (using Process Explorer). Mem use is really good. Tab behavior is getting pretty sweet. Thanks!
-
Great work but…
Vivaldi shows its window only after killing of the process 'vivaldi-bin --type=gpu-process ...'
As I understand it is related to the video driver/accelerator because Vivaldi starts well on all other configuration available for me.
My config:
Linux mint
AMD Radeon HD 6310 video
fglrx 2:15.200-0ubuntu0.5 driver -
I can't seem to find the setting for invisible window controls. Could someone point it out for me?
-
anyone else can confirm "backspace" is not working as "go back" anymore?
W8.1 x64 with this x32 build… -
Confirm.
x64 Win 7
-
My vivaldi has the "red, yel, grn" icons on top of the tabs and not beside the tabs like this blog shows. Does anyone know how to change this? I'd like the icons to be beside the tabs but I do not see how to change this.
-
I can confirm this. It seems mousewheel tab-switch does not update the tab order like ^TAB does.
-
Actually no, it does not re-order the tabs, it simply reverses through the list in their current order. If I have four tabs, and ^TAB from 1, through 2, and release on 3, I would expect another ^TAB to go from 3 to 1, but it still goes through 2 first.
-
There is no such setting. It was a bug. It's fixed.
-
-
An update every 2-3 days should be about right.
-
Middle clicking the tab bar (with tabs on the side) no longer opens a new tab for me.

Win 7 64 Bit, 8 Gig, 32 Bit Viv
Again a lot of improvements BUT:
1. Tried to edit URL in Address box and had it all corrected and it kept going back to previous page. Had to close tab and start over. Think saw problem in last build sorry if working on it2. Memory problems still, Flash suspect…..DON"T flame me I'm trying to help I have a patched up older Alienware that if NOTHING is wrong ANYTHING will run on it (IE: GREAT TEST-BED) . I do have a wide variety of programs (VPN, Encryption, etc.) and patches. No bios update available since 2009 when I got it. It serves my purpose for now, it is a help to unusual setups.
Taskmaster Snip below: I didn't sign up so I don't know how long it will last.
http://imgur.com/H5qTQQ5Everyone can relax cause this will be my last post on this build…. HAVE TO go to back.FF. Thanks hope helps.

I also can confirm memory problems. I ran Google Music almost the whole day and my pc keeps running also when I'm not at work. After 1 to 2 days the google music tab is consuming more than 1,5 GB RAM. For me it looks like the cache is almost never cleaned. I'm not sure if it is related to running Google Music in the sidebar, but it requires me to restart vivaldi at least every 2 days. While this isn't a problem and I benefit from a clearing cookies and all this stuff, I guess it's not that intended feature.
Beside this: keep up with your great work. Cheers!
Edit: Win 7, x64, Vivaldi x64

Have you reported this at the bug reporting site? https://vivaldi.com/bugreport.html
-
Finally, no more broken tabs! Thank you very much. The beta can come
I still get a grey overlay when I'm logged into Facebook and a page has finished loading. It can be removed by a single mouse click. The issue is there since about four snapshots, I filed a bug report now.
-
I also confirm that the memory problem is still here.
-
Many, many thanks! Finally, tab stacking with tabs on the right side is starting to work properly.
