Snapshot 1.0.252.3 - Typed history dropdown, more polish on Web-panels and Extensions… and smooth scrolling
-
Yes. That is the plan. Open in full screen will be available for all options.
-
I thought that was their intent, since they said "If you click arrow down." Maybe the next build?
-
Definitely like the prettier preferences. Might I suggest that the preferences window remember its size and position though? The first thing I do upon opening it is move it to the right, and more importantly, make it much taller.
Also, given the need to scroll in a good half of the sections, I wonder if the whole thing might be better suited for display in a full-size tab, like Chrome and Firefox (in recent builds) do?

BUG: (Speed dial/Start page) While on the speed dial, If you right click in the speed dial navigation panel on "Bookmarks" or "History" they will remain highlighted even though that page isn't selected.
-
BUG: HTTP_REFERER not sent when [middle button] or "Open in New Tab" is used. Please…
-
I m not seeing any button for typed history in the address bar, is there any option for this?
-
Not yet.
-
Stacking pinned tabs is broken. But at least side tabs are back, though without thumbs for stacked tabs…
Edit: if you reload a stacked tab, all tabs in the stack get the same thumbnail. If you reload by hovering the stack, then the open tab of that stack (if one is open) gets its own thumb.
Edit again: when you reload or change pages in a stack, the thumbs from that stack are propagated to other stacks.

Character input via keyboard with Quick Commands and in the Panel and in the address bar or search bar remains very slow here on Win 7 Starter, 32 bit system.
I would like bookmarks to open in a new tab by default like they were before this update. Even address bar url's and search terms were opening in a new tab each time. That was great. I miss that.
-
An option, indeed, thx for spotting this. Back in O9 times, before the synchronization appearance, but better than total damage.:)
-
Feedly Notifier extension only works on 1st use. After that, it is not functional.
-
Hmm, Smooth Scrolling is not very smooth compared to Opera 33 or using the Scroller extension in Vivaldi
Win7x64 Vx32
-
"We also added a back and a reload button to the Web panel top tool-bar"
No back button here.
How about adding "Reload every …" for the Web Panel pages?
EDIT:
Actually all pages (like Opera 12+)Win7x64 Vx32

I think you introduced a really annoying bug with the latest release: Clicking a bookmark now opens a new tab. Arrrgh! Please, please fix this asap.
Also, it seems like you have disabled right-clicking on bookmarks (right click now also opens the bookmark in a new tab).
While you are fixing these two, maybe you could add an right-click option to open bookmarks and links in a background tab. Being forced to always show the new tab in the foreground is very annoying when wanting to open a bunch of links from the same site for later reading (it would be great if you could even have a setting to make it the preferred option to always open new links as background tabs, as most other browser do).
Thanks!!!

edit already impossible
GUI is without any doubt severely affected, I cannot get µMatrix's gui to get any vertical scroll bar.
-
Open still saves files, I don't want that, whole point of open is not to save that file.
h.264 & MSE support? -
I tried just before upgrading – the previous build (the giant 1.0.249.12 update the other day) smoothly scrolled between Home/End too. What was the difference now? (Does it now smoothly scroll on mice with more discrete scroll wheel ticks? I can't tell with my mouse.) Or do you mean it was added in that previous build? Also, I assume you won't keep it just as a command line flag, and will add it to the settings UI -- right?
-
Yes. Surely. Some kind of highlight would be necessary in that case, I thought it was too obvious to detail it.
-
–disable-smooth-scrolling doesn't work for me too. OS is windows 10 x64 Japanese.
Edit: Seems like PgUp/PgDn/Home/End is now non-smooth with disable the commandline, but mousewheel does still do smooth scrolling.
Edit2: Others already mentioned this. my bad. -
I experience both those issues, plus another.
In Vivaldi on Linux (Arch, 64-bit), when I have tabs set to the side, when closing a tab, a totally unrelated tab also "closes". I put that in quotes, b/c the tab does indeed disappear, however if I close Vivaldi and re-open it, the tab that disappeared erroneously is back, so I think this would be a UI issue if anythingn.
