Snapshot 1.0.252.3 - Typed history dropdown, more polish on Web-panels and Extensions… and smooth scrolling
-
Refresh of speed dials does not work. I click the icon it turns like it's working but no refresh. Windows 64bit.
-
Is clicking and opening links from inside of the webpanels a thing that is being worked on still or is it just me having the problem? (e.g. clicking on a link in twitdeck doesn't open it in the main area)
Also I haven't found an instance where the "Back" button can be used.
-
The Windows 64bit installer will not install unless I run as Administrator. It not getting the elevated privileges it needs,
-
Progress bar info could use more contrast on dark theme (I can barely see anything).
Also, is there a way to get the browser window open in full (not fullscreen mode)?
-
Funny, scrolling this blog page indeed is (almost) smooth. However, https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser (or many other pages I quickly jumped to) still aren't smoothly scrollable - at least for my taste.
Enabling SmoothScroll (1.5.2.5) often does the trick here (depending on the site to different degrees, though).

Thank you for the new snapshot.
If I press "F2", there is search-window and if I searching something (without shortcut for the seachengines), there isn't the standard-search. For example, if I change my standard-search to DuckDuckGo, the results will be seaching with Startpage. Or if I change my standard-search to Startpage, the results will be searching with Wolfram|Alpha.
Another missing feature :
Always open a new tab (from adress- and searchbar).
Is this on your "future-feature-list" or "coming-soon-list"? -
Install the PPAPI version of Flash Player
FP 18 OS for Opera and Chromium - PPAPI on the Flash Player download site
-
Now, with the new smooth scroll the wheel scroll sensibility is slower, it takes more spins to do the same as before. Is this intended? I dont think it should be like this.
-
If the Vivaldi settings is not the "last work" is selected, you can start small screen!
This error is corrected when they develop? -
Thank you guys
I'm still not sure why it got messed up. Which is annoying. After I checked if flash would work on Opera 31 it prompted me to update, which I did. Somehow that fixed it for Vivaldi as well.
-
Thanks for fixing Home button and bookmarks bar links opening in new tabs.
Web Panels sure does have a lot of potential. Can be an extension replacer to some degree. So here are more requests from me.
Request1: Please make it so we can customize the width/panel size of each of the individual web panels added. Some sites are more properly fitted to smaller widths and others to larger ones. Messenger.com for example requires a larger panel size. But I don't want my other panels to have large ones either.
Request2: The ability to drag/re-order web panels in the side bar.Aside from my other requests from the previous blog post, I think that's all I want from web panels, at least for now. xD I'm sure you guys can improve it more and more in the coming months. ^_^

Thank you for your work.
It would be great if the "F2" window behaves in part similar to the 'Go to Page' dialog in Opera 10, it shows the latest typed entry in the URL bar and on focus it updates the main text field of the dialog and allows editing it.Or maybe there is way, that i'm not aware of, to list and edit the exactly typed in text in the address bar.

BUG: Facebook videos will not play in Web Panels. Web Panel URL: m.facebook.com or touch.facebook.com
-
"Add as Search Engine" doesn't seem to work for me anymore…
Can anyone Confirm ?
-
Confirmed on Mac. No pop-up/dialogue box displayed after choosing Add As Search Engine. Better report it.
-
I would certainly like it in Settings, since it was always the first thing that I disabled in Opera, but I note that it's in vivaldi://flags now, though maybe that's just a Chrome thing since it shows as disabled there when it's actually enabled.
-
Yes. That is the plan. Open in full screen will be available for all options.
-
I thought that was their intent, since they said "If you click arrow down." Maybe the next build?
-
Definitely like the prettier preferences. Might I suggest that the preferences window remember its size and position though? The first thing I do upon opening it is move it to the right, and more importantly, make it much taller.
Also, given the need to scroll in a good half of the sections, I wonder if the whole thing might be better suited for display in a full-size tab, like Chrome and Firefox (in recent builds) do?

BUG: (Speed dial/Start page) While on the speed dial, If you right click in the speed dial navigation panel on "Bookmarks" or "History" they will remain highlighted even though that page isn't selected.
