Snapshot 1.0.196.2 Spatial navigation improvement, Mac build fixes, Windows 64bits get auto-update

Ok, this is annoying me so much that I can't wait for a Beta or Final version to fix this issue: Memory Leaks! I have a tab on my browser (This one) that is using almost 2GB of RAM Memory! Without the leak it uses up to 130KB! I know this is a Chromium thing more than a Vivaldi problem, but please, tell me if there is a way to fix this issue! I'm sick of having to open the Task manager to search for the faulty tab to close it and reopen soon after, all while waiting for the computer to respond because it can't process any more tasks!
-
Closing a pinned tab with the middle mouse button or with a double click (a double click can be configured to close tabs) has been fixed. Look for bug VB-4028 in next snapshot.
-
I cannot click install in the chrome web store the button isn't there. Installing apps in Chrome and then importing them into Vivaldi works, but I would not call that simple.
-
Buttons don't show up if you load Store in background tab or access it via a link. This is known. You need to search for the extension you want to install in Chrome Store. Then you'll see the button.
-
Cool, very potential browser. Shitloads of bugs though, as expected. I'll absolutely try it again next year.
-
Great picture. Hope the Vivaldi Team is having fun. And love Vivaldi so far.
-
Again, this is a Tech Preview, an Alpha Version - we're only now going to Beta -, so of course there would be a lot of bugs. I would recommend you stay in touch with every snapshot for feedback and feature request - this really the them and the community -, but if you want to wait next year, rest assured because I'm sure the Vivaldi team will have the best browser out by the time you come back!

I did the upgrade from TP3. Now, there is no way to quit "Search in page". ESC does not quit the search anymore. Anyone else or just an issue in settings?
-
Esc doesn't close it, but the X at the end of the "search in page" bar does.
-
Yes, but this requires the mouse.
In TP3 it definitely closed on ESC. I think this is really annoying and should be working without using a mouse. -
Yeah, it's a bug. Will be fixed.
-
I see that Opera is planning a Universal Windows 10 app later this year.
Any such plans for Vivaldi? -
Not right now, no.
Apps are known for simplicity while we strive for power user customization. That doesn't fit very well.
That said, who knows what will be in one year from now. -
Again, thanks for a new build.
-
it's crashing after some minutes I start it

I am so waiting for improvements with this too.

Any thoughts on adding a "Bookmark all tabs" feature?
Also, I'd prefer all context menus be available on right click only without having to right click, release, scroll to desired menu item, and click again. I realize this is a user interface (UI) which Chromium is implementing, but requiring all the extra steps to perform a single action is exceeding poor. All context menus should appear without requiring the user release after right clicking. In addition should a user choose to release the context menu should remain available until the user either clicks on a menu item or clicks on the background to dismiss the context menu.
In the preference settings there should be options to not "load tabs until selected" and when opening a link to a new tab, don't make the default setting, "switch to it immediately".

Robert, a middle-click opens a background tab – I know, I know... but have you tried the vivaldi://flags settings for the kind of tab reloading behavior that you want?
This is probably misusing some perfectly good flags but it seems to (mostly) work for me:
Enable Offline Auto-Reload Mode Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android
Pages that fail to load while the browser is offline will be auto-reloaded when the browser is online again. #enable-offline-auto-reload
(Disabled)Only Auto-Reload Visible Tabs Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android
Pages that fail to load while the browser is offline will only be auto-reloaded if their tab is visible. #enable-offline-auto-reload-visible-only
(Enabled)Enable Offline Load Stale Button Mac, Windows, Linux, Chrome OS, Android
When a page fails to load, if a stale copy of the page exists in the browser, a button will be presented to allow the user to load that stale copy. #enable-offline-load-stale-cache
(Enabled)It looks like Comments eat brackets.

Maybe off-topic but I tried to copy Current Session -file from Opera developer to Vivaldi and it kind of worked but restored just one of my 3 windows in that session. (Import from Opera 15.x should allow import also from beta/developer versions because those users (I included) are potential switchers.
