Snapshot 1.0.178.2 with more settings

right clicking on task bar icon to open "new window" does not work. Would also like to be able to click and drag tab to new window or screen (dual monitor setup).
Running version 1.0.178.2 (Developer Build) (64-bit)

Confirmed. The same for Ctrl+D.

For any Vivaldi employees hanging around, are there any plans to add google (or other search engine) suggestions to the address bar? Thanks for all the hard work, can't wait for the next snapshot.
-
While I was waiting for the next snapshot, I have found another excellent new browser: Yandex. It turns out to be faster than Firefox and even Chrome. The innovative design is very intuitive. The only tiny bad thing is that Yandex is embedded as search machine and translation machine. But it is configurable. Maybe Vivaldi can learn something from Yandex browser.
-
Just wait a couple of snapshots. Performance tweaks will arrive soon-ish.
-
We do learn from any browser ever made, because we listen to what you guys think is great about them and make that possible in Vivaldi, too.
-
Ooooo! Nice. Thanks for the encouraging note.
-
Thank you for listening! What I mean is the new Yandex beta.

The wisest policy and the one that will give the very highest chance of survival. The fact you engage us sets you apart. To a glorious future! Cheers!

Learn from Yandex?
Yandex is huge russian company and Vivaldi team is 27 persons. How can you compare both of them? -
Couple of snapshots? <__<
First in Monday and second in Friday? -
I fully understand this situation. But I'm afraid that most of the browser users wont consider this incomparability when they make the choice – many female users can even not install a browser by themself
And you cannot give up the majority if you want a public success.
Besides, Vivaldi has indeed also advantages against Yandex, e.g.: Vivaldi has both 32 bit and 64 bit version while Yandex only has 32 bit version; Vivaldi is entirely open while Yandex tries to embed his own services. -
64 bit is only experimental. I will not be suprised if it will be dropped as Firefox dropped 64 bit in 2012.
This browser is for demanding users. I think most of browser users still will use Chrome.

Herein lies the rub; are there enough of us demanding users? In order for Vivaldi to flourish I think it will have to own that space in time.

THIS IS NOT FAIR We are in june and STILL NO SNAPSHOT UPDATE!!! Come on guys!! Get with the program!!
-
Bummer. That would be a shame, I like the 64-bit experiment so far!
Chrome? Chrome! Aack! Ptooei!
-
Okay, I demand that the memory use, the lag and the Bookmark and Note editors get fixed! It was using 1.5Gig the other day for 3 tabs so I just smiled and restarted Vivaldi.
I also think the Vivaldi developers should … Hey! (thump!) What are you … (whump)(SLAM!)That stupid door hurts …. (rubbing posterior and muttering)
Windows 7 Pro x64, Vivaldi x64 in a User Account
-
LMFAO! That was cool!
-
Yep, that would be demanding. Maybe a slightly different nuance but … You did pick good features to 'demand'.
