Snapshot 1.0.178.2 with more settings
-
Thx for new build, but still under Linux I have the problem of the very large controls. Probably it has to do with my native resolution: 1920x1200 (24 inches display), I am using proprietary NVIDIA driver and KDE 5 (was the same with KDE 4). I also tried a clean install, same problem. Interesting thing: with the Technical Preview I have no issues.
Here once again a screenshot: http://snag.gy/xDJQ6.jpg
Hope you can do something about that, otherwise I can't use the weekly builds on my linux desktop
And 2nd thing: I can't change tabs in settings dialog (german locale)
-
It has problem when you select Turkish too.
-
Start with Home Page or Speed Dial fails to remember that the browser was maximised on close.
Start from last time remembers, but won't accept a page from the command line in Opera, open current tab in Vivaldi. Vivaldi opens, but without the tab.
-
Thank_you for the new build! It's running nicely and seems a little quicker than v1.0.174.8 x64 but that could be my fascination with something new, shiny and β¦ SQUIRREL!
Old bug: The "vivaldi://settings" page still redirects to "vivaldi://settingspage" and it
can't be scrolled. It MIGHT be a hardware problem and not software so that'll be tacked on to the end just in case.I can't find it now but once upon a time I checked a box to open the Settings in a separate window instead of a tab. That's still working fine and it got carried over from the old Vivaldi x86 installation on Windows XP Pro x86.
New x64 system setup:
Browser and OS: Vivaldi x64 with Windows 7 Pro sp1 x64
CPU: P4 630 Prescott 3.00GHZ Socket 775 LGA
Board: Intel D955XBK Extreme Edition, 3GB DDR2 RAM
Video: AMD Radeon HD 6450 1GB DDR3 -
That was my first impression as well, hopefully we'll get "there" soon
-
You can download extensions from the Google Store and install on Vivaldi. They work perfectly fine (I have AdBlock and Tampermonkey running anti-adblock script on my Vivaldi just fine). You can check your installed extensions at vivaldi://chrome/extensions
But yes, we need a HUD for extensions on the browser.
-
Yeah,I'm considering switching back to that version, but some reason I just want to have the newest version of software. Since that snapshot, there has a small visual bug that could probably be fixed through css if I knew how to code in it better, and random crashes after Vivaldi has been running on my mac for a while.
The small bug is that in tab tooltips in tab stacks, the tab I'm hovering on doesn't highlight or change color to show I'm hovering on it, it's not that bad but it just helps to tell what I'm doing. Similar to what happens when you hover over a tab.

Hey guys, new to Vivaldi. Is this snapshot supposed to come to us automatically or do we have to re-install each time?
-
RIP
Here lies ahoj1234, who inexplicably died after using a second shortcut. -
CJLP,
It's supposed to automatically update but some of the air may have leaked out of the updater and you'll have to download the new snapshot to somewhere you can find again and install it yourself.

- Videos from gospodari.com not starting.
- Can't open SpeedDials with mouse scroller (button 3)
- Settings Dialogue opens in wrong position (in dual/second monitor) loads on the first one, not in the browser centre for example.
- There's no option to disable tab resizing preview.
- Inspect Element isn't fixed in the browser.
- code.visualstudio.com videos not working too!
- Youtube player is broken, when video is on full-screen then it's hard to show the player optionsβ¦.
- There isn't "Paste and go" in address bar.
- It's hard to drag browser in windows (you can catch it only under the close, min, max), but not in tab area...
- When you have a lot of tabs opened, the "x" button for closing them is not "x", does not display correctly! If they are really a lot then there isn't x button at all.
- When you'r opening a lot of links one after another, the browser stops at 95% until tabs fully load....
- Can close pinned tab with mouse button 3 (scroller button)...
-
Auto-updated for me just fine. The only way it will not do so is if you are still on TP3.
-
Having problems closing tabs, sometimes when closing a tab it "closes" another as well, when I check the Task Manager, the fake "closed" one resides in memory. I have the "Enable fast tab/window close" flag setting on if its any help with investigation.

snip - duplicate post
-
Not mentioned in the change log, but the, on mac, missing saved session window on startup is no longer a problem. Opens as it should now.
-
Add the option to select if opening a new tab opens a blank, home page or speed dial tab
-
Already the previous version had the problem. It seems not to be patched.
-
Don't worry, it's fixed already. It'll be working in next snapshot.
-
We'll try to avoid that. Let's see what we can do about it.
-
That's a known issue on HiDPI screens. We are aware of it.
