Snapshot 1.0.174.8-1 Startup settings and tab-switching performance
-
when use the appearance using native window it is supposedly like chropera and chrome not separate them. it is so ugly…. i hope some dau the button min, max and close inline with the thrash bin button ok...
-
Random crashes here too. Many startup crashes but not only. OSX 10.9.5. First build that unstable for me.
-
Seems to only hit some users. We're on it.
-
I now installed it on my Surface Pro 3, the top part sucks on Hi-DPI…. the text on page and context menu is clear, but the icons and text inside the address bar are blurried.
Also, the icon disappear from the taskbar once I run Vivaldi... (Windows 8.1, both Windows and Vivaldi are 64bit).
-
I can't edit the search engines. It doesn't change anything for that session and when i restart vivaldi all search engines are removed and i have to reset them.
-
My Vivaldi can only import "Bookmarks Bar" items from Opera 15+ and not the other Bookmarks.
Can anyone else confirm this ?
Also is there a plan for middle-clicking on a bookmarks bar item and it is opened in a new background tab ? (like normal middle clicking on a speed dial item)

and… alienating their users.
When Opera invalidated my my.opera id and required me to sign up for yet another third-party service only to occasionally comment on their blog, it was the final push for me not to consider myself part of Opera's community anymore. -
I really hope you won't abandon Vivaldi them for improving the blog.
Disquis work, and works a lot better then this. For example, it notifies you only if you desire so: earlier this morning I made a new post, and checked "Notify me of followup comments", and I am getting many email I am not interested in (like your).
Disquis notifies only replies to your comment (if you desire, you can still be notified of the entire thread). -
Import issue is known and being worked on.
-
In the Vivaldi flags, there is a quick-close tab option which seems to makr all tabs faster for me.
-
I'm having an issue (mac) where if the active tab is any tab except for the one on the far right or the far left, and I use cmd+t to open a new tab, 2 new tabs open simultaneously.
Other than that, looking good! Thanks!

Thanks !
-
Yeah, this is known and being worked on, too.

Missing Developer ID for OS X build
Yeah, that was odd. I don't recall that happening in any previous version.
-
Have you done?
You won't win a Pulitzer, and you are not writing the Divine Comedy…Stop updating your message, it keeps notifying me of a new message.
-
It's very easy to reproduce. You just have to arrange tabs in certain order.
But it's just a little annoyance compared to other bugs. -
Very exciting - getting to the point where I'm doing more and more of my day-to-day browsing on Vivaldi instead of ChOpera. Soon I'll be able to switch over completely. Still hoping you guys will fix updating when behind a proxy, allow custom mouse gestures, etc., but I'm sure those features will come when you get around to them. Kudos for continually adding in so many little features already that all add up to a great browser, and for the transparency with which you do it.
-
cmd-g ( show quick commands) opens search instead in this build
-
After a couple of days testing the new build, I am very pleased about the noticeable performance improvements in tab switching. I we could only get rid of the double-tab opening bug on OSX.
-
Import from certain browser which name starts with O doesn't seem to work. I have all three branches installed and would be useful that Vivaldi recognises all of them and also could import sessions too.
