Snapshot (1.0.162.2) TP3 candidate
-
"Delayed loading of background tabs" like in Opera would have been a great option in case there's a lot of tabs open.
-
I would sure like reduced line height in the bookmark panel and manager. We could see so many more bookmarks before scrolling.
-
Is there any chance that the tab issues with tabs on the right (stacking, d'n'd indicator) will be fixed in TP3?
Edit: And how about the opening of two new tabs on Cmd+T (OSX)? -
Another bug I've noticed on OSX is that sometimes I cannot enter an URL. That is, I can type it into the address bar of a fresh SD tab but on hitting Enter nothing happens. I cannot even select one of the proposals, e.g. from the history, using the keyboard. Is this already known?
Edit: Shift+Enter actually starts loading the site. -
yeah, just reported… hopefuly it will be fixed soon.
-
Actually, it's quite a task to implement unfortunately.
-
It depends whether you do have similar tabs or not… ^^
-
Submitting forms to new tab is still broken. Either forms with target="_blank" or manually by shift-return. The current tab crashes and the new tab opens but is also defective.
Already submitted this as bug report three snapshots ago but maybe it got lost? -
You must be using Opera beta or developer. Vivaldi doesn't detect those yet. A dev is working on it, but if you want to import it right now, you can install Opera Stable, let it import your beta / dev data and import it into Vivaldi from Opera Stable then.

I try to save sequence of pictures on the page to disk with "Save image as" dialog. Each time dialog starts with default dir "Desktop". I expect that second and futher times dialog will start form the last used dir.
-
Trying to download the 64 bit Windows version - getting a 404 page at: https://vivaldi.com/download/download.php?f=Vivaldi.1.0.162.2.x64.exe
-
I find that it defaults to my Downloads folder, but I would also expect the last used folder to be remembered.
-
in every OS is the same issue, what a pity!!! nothing was fixed, I was using another browser when I tested this issue and that was my fault. They are releasing versions but not fixing bugs exept that spat- nav that they think it is the royal thing, the core of web surfer. FIX THE BUGS AND STOP TO RELEASING VERSIONS
-
More useful if it will be possible to choose if save as have to start in the same folder (user defined) or in the last one.
-
The autoupdate function still installs the program to c:\Program\Application. I don't understand why….
-
Help\Check for updates still doesn't do anything in the 64 bit version. It would be a lot more user friendly if instead of doing nothing, a message would be shown, something like: "Sorry, this feature is not implemented yet."
+1
this was irritating me since beginning -
A work around I found was to type in the search engine bar instead. When typing into the address bar, results would still pop up right? Clicking them will still direct you to that link. The only way to fix this bug temporarily is to quit and reopen Vivaldi.
-
Would it be possible for you guys to add an option to export data from Vivaldi browser? (eg passwords, bookmarks). I've found that Vivaldi has stored many logs and crash reports on my computer and I'd like to securely delete Vivaldi using an app called Appcleaner on my Mac, however I thought it'd be a hassle to reimplement my bookmarks, settings, plugin settings, extensions etc.
And one last thing is a bug I found where when you have two windows, one minimised and one not, and when you try to press cmd-T, a new tab will appear in both windows instead of only the one you are currently using.
A second bug happens when you just try to press cmd-T. For some reason this bug appears much more when you have less tabs open. What this bug is is that it opens 2 tabs when cmd-T is pressed. And pressed only once too.
Note that the above errors appeared on a Mac. I don't know about the other Vivaldi versions on other OS -
I think this is tied to the [still missing] option to choose what to load at startup.

We were updating our main site: Vivaldi.com this morning and there were a few minutes where this file was unavailable.
