VB-4604: Backspace goes two pages back, not one page
Cannot confirm. Still happens on Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, Vivaldi 32-bit.
-
it's kinda hard to notice the "unread" tab indicator.
Indeed! The "unread tab" indicator is now barely visible or not at all, thus unusable.
Why change the colour? It was perfect in the previous build. -

Thanks for the great progress and please consider this request :
"Ctrl + Shift + C" to take a note instantly instead of right clicking on a selected textโฆ just like Opera used to...
Amen to this! I hope to see this shortcut introduced (back) soon.

+1 on this request!

Yeah! Great idea!

Agreed. This would improve efficiency of the user interface.

A notice to administrators of this blog.
The above post shows that in this blog there is still an unfixed issue of adding http:// to the https:// links when pressing the URL button in the tools below text form of the comment window. -
Crossing fingers for "ask everytime where to save file during downloading"

Please display something like "16 of 150 files loaded" if you cannot receive the size of the files upfront.
The advantage is that you can really see what a page is actually loading (yes, the second number will likely increase as the page loads), and you can see if the last object is "hanging" (which is then likely a stupid advertizing page on an overloaded server :-))
To add on that, the detailed progress bar should also display the name of the current server from which data is pulled - it will be switching fast unless it gets stuck on some server. And for this situation I would request that at any time I could click on the server name and click a button "Skip this server" - to unblock loading of the page.

- A "Open in background tab" tab when right-clicking a URL.
How is it supposed to work? Right-click needs to trigger the context menu.
But you can Ctrl+click to open in the background tab. Hope that suits you.- A "minimize tab" keyboard shortcut
There is such - just press 4.
- Option to get a "Save As" prompt when downloading a file.
- Full mouse gestures (like down-left, up-left) etc, and ability to associate/customize gestures with any keyboard shortcut
+1 on these. They should be introduced in hopefully quite near future.

I'm sure Turbo means to include "open in background tab" in the context menu.

Hi Wojcieche,
Thanks for pitching in, much appreciated. I think I probably could have been clearer in my post, so trying to clarify below.

But you can Ctrl+click to open in the background tab. Hope that suits you.It does, but. What I really wanted was a "Open in background tab" in the right-click context menu. The way I use my browser, I often sit too far away from the keyboard to make pressing a key convenient when just reading down a page and wanting to open links in the background to read after I've finished the page I'm on..

AHA! :!: Didn't know that. I assumed when it wasn't in the Mouse and Keyboard section of the setting menu it didn't exist. My main reason for the request was so I could, one day, assign it to a mouse gesture. But if full mouse gestures are imminent, this probably fixes my issue directly! I'll try to assign "4" to mu center mouse button until then; that should do the trick

Woohooh!
I ditched Opera 12 for Vivaldi as my primary browser about a month ago after having run them in parallel for a while. I can live with it not always being 100% stable - it's less inconvenient than Opera 12's increasing inability to display modern web pages correctly - but i really miss those mouse gestures. Glad to hear it's in the pipe.
