Snapshot (1.0.151.7) Updated tiling and tons of polish
-
Great! updating right now.
One very annoying thing: when I'm writing (as in this post right here), CTRL + left arrow doesn't behave as in any other editor (skipping the whole word back), it goes one page back instead. I've lost some posts because of this. Is it because the shortcut to move back and forth between entire words is different in Vivaldi? -
Actually I was referring to the mouse gestures as being barely usable. Moving tabs around is probably the most "snappy" of all the things I mentioned
-
when you first group tabs into stacks, the page tiling icon on bottom right corner doesn't recognize its been stacked until you click another page in the stack

Amen Brother ! Amen ! (About Performance !)

See VB-4440 above. It's fixed.

You intended to say: "Thanks for your hard work devs. Looking good so far, but settings look a bit messy. Some more design work is needed there."β¦
Makes a whole lot of difference how your comments are perceived! -
Ctrl+Shift+V is working already. Context menu will be soon.
-
Thanks for your efforts, to provide best browser experience for us.
Why "report bug" link is not included to help menu?
Not important but annoying bug is here,
OperaVivaldi doesn't remember state of bookmark tab.
1. Open new tab.
2. Go to bookmarks from speed dial screen.
3. Select an item from bookmark page other than default.
4. Open new tab (Ctrl +T ) then close tab (Ctrl+W).
5. Vivaldi lost your selection. -
I use Logitech's multi-button mouse. Logitech has SetPoint software to inject user-defined application-specific shortcuts to .exe of program.
SetPoint's sofware works well with Chrome but not works with Opera&Vivaldi. The reason is same for both (Opera&Vivaldi) browser.
Basically, user finds location of program, and shows it to SetPoint. After that, user defines action to each button of own mouse.
But Vivaldi uses a launcher. Main program is not "AppData\Local\Vivaldi\Application\vivaldi.exe". Main program folder has version number, and after each update folder is changing. Because of that, after every update user has to re-set SetPoint. -
THANK YOU! I waited so long for this snapshot!
Now that it's finally here, I'm gonna test everything out, but as always, I expect the next version to have MSE & H.264/H.264 codecs for proper HTML5 video playback. Tech Preview 3 must have this!
Also, it wouldn't hurt to make tabs have a round shape like O12 did. This flat design is kinda dullβ¦
Also, how many TP's are gonna be there before a stable version is released?
-
MSE & H.264 won't make it into TP3. That's way too big of a task.
Nobody can tell how many TPs there will be. As many as necessary to get it to a state that can be called stable. -
Yes, confirmed. Please report it.

Play nice, kids!

Bug: Pressing the button "Clear Downloads" it clears all downloads file like a pack
Downloaded 2 files when I go to show panel>downloads and I selected 1 of them and press "Clear Downloads" the 2 downloads files are deleted, in old versions only the selected downloaded file was deleted not all downloaded files like a pack.
Win7 32 bits/vivaldi 32 bits at the momentβ¦.I will check it in 64bit PC/vivaldi 32 bits later -
Is it possible to get vivaldi://bookmarks back?
Yes, this forwards to the default Chrome bookmark manager (chrome-extension://eemcgdkfndhakfknompkggombfjjjeno/main.html) and allowed easier, more responsive viewing and somewhat easier editing, but as of v1.0.151.7 the page is no longer populated with existing bookmarks.

keyboard shortcut customizations behave strangely. some can be customized, some can't. (Vivaldi 64bit - Windows 7)
