Easter Snapshot 1.0.142.32
-
1. links opened in new tabs are opening outside the stack which is a bit inconvenient.
2. changing the zoom affects all the tiles at the same time. It would be better if it affected only the active tile.
3. mouse gesture for closing tab is not working. -
Appreciate the continued work.
Question: Does the "Find in page" UI coming up centered look a little unorthodox to anyone else? Shouldn't the whole thing be moved to the left?
-
Personally, I think it would look better left aligned, yes ..
-
Yay! My pet peeve of recent releases has been fixed. That is, Ctrl-Z used to undo editing change AND restore the most recently-closed tab. Since I do a lot of editing in a web browser, that was stopping me from using Vivaldi.
I can't wait to see TP3.
-
edit:feedback for tilling change: tiling should be possible by clicking on the status bar icon as well.
I was about to send the same comment.
It is confusing that even though I selected a few tabs, the option on the status bar is still greyed-out. There is no reason for it to work in such a way, it should get activated when more than one tab is getting selected. -
Confirmed.
Win7 Proffessional 64-bit, Vivaldi 32-bit. -
I do not know the convention in other browsers, but my point of view is that center of the page is significantly better from the ergonomics perspective - center is a better, more visible place to look at than moving your sight somewhere to the corner.
So I would definitely prefer it to stay the way it is. -
Ctrl+Left in a text field still triggering Back - and driving me nuts…
-
Thank you for this update. I like how you have clipped one corner of the tabs. I'm still hoping you can figure a way to make tabs touch the top edge of the screen; they would be much easier to pick that way. I realize there is difficulty because of the way the little grey bars are located at the top of the tab when it is a stack. Maybe those could be placed at the bottom on the tab?
-
Major regression: NSL issue on Facebook - chat remains in Loading… status and the whole content of the FB page is frozen - so it cannot be scrolled and is non-interactive. Anyone else noticed the same?
-
Just to confirm - from the first snapshot the content of Trash is not lost after browser restart (unlike in Opera, in which it is lost) and I like it a lot this way :!: - so I hope you do not treat it as a bug to be fixed, but it will remain like this.
-
Bug: When you focus to the address bar (or a text field on a web page) and press Vivaldi menu, the focus is lost. Therefore there is no way to use options from Edit menu, like Copy or Paste and go.
-
The tab stacking also need "Stack ALL Similar groups to Stack" so we could have different groups stacked
-
+1
-
this great I love this browser pd: use google translator
-
Happens sometimes with "domino bugs", i.e. when other bugs are fixed that fix the behavior of another bug too. I've seen some other bugs I reported fixed without notice and I don't mind as long as they are fixed
-
I prefer left because I normally start reading something top left, not in the center. All other things like the address bar and the tab bar etc are left aligned too. I instinctively shift my eyes to the left to start reading, see that there is nothing and after 1/10s of confusion I find the stuff in the center, which I find mildly irritating.
-
i can't test it much because I am crashing everytime. I sent a report for bug wizard about Vivaldi crashes with my USB 4G internet modem
-
Maybe those could be placed at the bottom on the tab?
That would make them much harder to hit if they are not made much higher at the same time. Fitts's law applies…
-
I also found myself looking for the splitter for tiled tabs to make more space for the bottom of two horizontal tiles. A slightly heavier line or line with a shadow might be better too.
