Snapshot 1.0.141.2 with more Tiling options and advanced notes, improved spatial navigation and fast forward

Guys, please please read/search through the comments before you post. Find by Ctrl+F works perfectly now. Olli already replied here that this is already fixed (internally).
-
Press and hold Shift, then move through the links (possibly other active elements - this is still a work in progress) on the page by arrows easily.
I enjoy this functionality, no other browser has I think, apart from TheRealOpera.
It is one of the ninja functionalities that allow you to browse in freeestyle. -
Nasty regression (I guess):
Pressing Ctrl+Z in the text field (also in this comment field on this blog) triggers not only Undo of editing text but also reopens the last closed window. -
Still the same, if not badder than before.
Only 810.77 KB downloaded this time, with a lot of traffic going on.
Finishes, when it got the whole speed available. -
Confirmed. Still not fixed. Extremely annoying bug!
For me a major one that should be finally fixed before the next Technology Preview.BTW: What strange "C" character have you used in "Ctrl" that Find on the page function in Vivaldi does not find it..? If I replace it with "C" from my keyboard, Find function finds it…
-
Regressions in gestures:
- gesture down on link does not open the link but blank page
- gesture down-up (on link and not) is read as up, therefore refreshes the page
(down-up gesture should open in the background but it is not yet implemented)
-
No-one anywhere noted on this, so I will take this opportunity to provide feedback.
The feature of displaying speaker on a tab that plays audio is a brilliant idea!
It was implemented 3 snapshots ago.
I do not recall any other browser having it, so I suppose it is your another innovation. -
Thank you for letting know!
-
Good catch!
One of the improvements unannounced in the changelog. -
can you make the installer kill the vivaldi.exe when update live from browser. i think do not need it do it manually… and relaunch button on about page. the update should on there right like chropera...
-
i feel something fishy about tomorrow (if update goes alive)… may be Mail section is around the corner! hint: see the date! huhuhuhuhu... btw goods luck dev teams!
-
BTW, the only thing better might be if the browser also remembered the last size which you had used for that popup.
100%. And remember it's position. And add a small drop-shadow behind it to make it 'pop' out from the background. That would be sweet.

but using touch pad in a net or notebook it was a mess because shift key is used for select words in a text. but it was fixed so spat nav can exist together touchpad method to select words
-
Sure, there's a lot of things needed, but at base sort of shocking that an RC (or Technical Preview) allows for a home page but not to open to it automatically.

www.terra.com.ar/ blank frame at the moment to move the mouse over a pic. win7 32 64 bit viv 32 64 reported a lot of times
http://my.xmarks.com awfully loaded page without bookmarks and on the left everything reported a lot of times -
A few observations:
1. Tile Selection to Grid always tiles horizontally for two tabs. Maybe it should do nothing if the tabs are currently tiled vertically?
2. Tile Selection to Grid with three tabs, tiles two horizontally on the left, but the third tab uses only half of the space that it could.
3. When panels are closed, clicking on Add bookmark is pretty useless. It should probably open the bookmark panel.
4. There are several blue icons in the panel toolbar — presumably for future panels that are not ready yet.
5. Zoom affects both/all tabs if they are tiled. Is that desirable behaviour? Web pages are designed differently. Some have small fonts and need zooming, but others do not. -
"4. There are several blue icons in the panel toolbar — presumably for future panels that are not ready yet."
Where? What OS? What position for the panel bar? have not seen anything like this.

Please, please make sync available as soon as possible. It's the only feature stopping me from switching to Vivaldi.
-
You guys are doing a tremendous job, keep it coming!
Agree, hope to see sync (and above all MAIL!!!) soon!
Vivaldi, truly next to be my new default browser. -
Unfortunately on my Mac, the mouse gestures do not work.
