Technical Preview 2 is here!
-
I think that x64 is too buggy to use.

When something against ads on web pages?
I do miss urlfilter.ini!!! -
Awesome job! Beautiful!
-
On the Status Bar below click on 'Page Actions' icon (between these for pictures & zoom), then tick the check-box of 'Content blocker'. It is still not as good as urlfilter, but at least reduces the ads.

Thank you! Every week we get a step closer to the stable version! Can't wait for it!
So, as always, I've found a few bugs (like some URLs not being displayed properly by Vivaldi alone, Youtube videos not being rendered past 360p, etc.), but that's only natural for a Tech Preview. And considering how much we've advanced when compared to the first Tech Preview, it's almost unbelievable (especially if you compare with Opera's progress with their implementation of features - 14 versions after changing into ChrOpera and they finally decided to center images)!
-
Gotta ask, any plans to support H264 & H264 MSE?

[as this came out in the forums, I'll write it here, also]
Did you know that Antonio Vivaldi (1678-1741) was an Italian Baroque composer, virtuoso violinist, teacher and cleric?
Here's a very famous part from a concerto he wrote, called: "The four seasons"
And here's his face
OK, now you know it! -
Great work guys, I really like what you're doing so far!
even though I miss a proper main menu and extensions buttons, with few bugs here and there like the speeddial thumbs not showing up! the slow UI (sometimes it take time to react)… but in general, it's a great technical preview. keep up the great work ! -
I thought everyone has ever heard about him, but apparently that's not the case.
PS I'm waiting for some easter eggs related to this name.
Some internal pages like vivaldi://spring, etc. would be cool. -
Minimum font size, please. That's the main thing missing as I ain't a big fan of having to zoom pages.
Oh, and the ability to choose and set how we'd like tabs to open…i.e. in the background or foreground.

Wonderful, I like direction of Vivaldi. It's not my main browser for now, but i'm following it.
I'm looking for 3 things first public version of Vivaldi.
1. Full import from Chrome.
2. Full browser sync and seperate profiles (work, home etc)
3. Not so important but, having chrome extension support or support for extensions may be nice. I knowOperaVivaldi have prejudice about extensions. And it's very right, I'm also huge fan of full-stack browser but extension like spice on pizza. Not necessary, but doubles taste. Also you guys collection usage data? If not, you should. Vivaldi respects user privacy but I'm gladly to share my usage style.
Is there any spesific reason, why vivaldi not using program files? I don't care but wonder reason?
About speed of adding features. You, guys, rock!

Can I ask, why there's no public bug tracking?
-
Is this the same as the latest snapshot, or are there some differenses?
Edit:Blind -
The installer says "This is the first technical preview".

I closed Vivaldi window before closing the settings window. Now, every time I open Vivaldi it takes me to the settings window instead of the browser window. There is no way to avoid it. http://s18.postimg.org/4fal0kp9l/Vivaldi_bug.png
Also, "VB-3172 Dual Vivaldi icons in the taskbar when using standalone install" doesn't seem to be fixed. Wind 8.1 Vivaldi X64
-
I'm still getting the dual stand-alone Vivaldi icons in the taskbar as well (Win7-64 SP1, 32-bit Vivaldi). In any case, it's certainly a very minor annoyance…!
But on a different note, I'm finally able to post directly into these comments with my stand-alone install (I put the TP2 stand-alone into a completely new location, so either it was something in the earlier versions, or something corrupted in the original TP1 install that carried into its updates)!
On the other hand, i still can't get downloads to appear anywhere on the system - they start out in the download folder with a stub file while downloading is occurring, but at the end of the download, they completely disappear off the system. I'm wondering if this has to do with how Vivaldi copes with Windows UAC issues (though the same thing happens in both my admin and limited user accounts) or the protection Windows tries to employ regarding downloading unknown executables. FWIW, I have no such problems with other browsers on the same system, including a stand-alone Presto Opera version (12.14).

Does anyone else see the new Speed Dial with logo? I like what I'm seeing.
