Sounds great, I'm gonna try this out right away!
How far from a release with email client as well? -
Ok… Here we go :
1. Middle clicking on a pinned tab shouldn't close the tab... Firefox does this and it's irritating... I tend to close my tabs with middle clicking and if I middle click on a pinned tab mistakenly, it shouldn't close... ChrOpera does this right... as Opera 12.X did...
2. Performance in GUI has seen a drastic fall especially when opening a new tab... the color transition... the lag... everything about it hurts... also when opening the panel there's a bad lag and it doesn't matter if one of the panels items is selected or not... the lag happens... BUT since you commented in the last blog entry that "Performance related issues are known and will be dealt with eventually..." I won't drag this on longer...
3. Bookmarks Popup doesn't show where it should be... just like in this comment above.
4. Mouse gestures stopped working again…
5. There's a good change in Speed dials : now there's a new back button so that we could go back to the upper folder we were in before (the design is new... but it was there before). But clicking on it is hard (it's small) and it'd help if there was a shortcut for going up ('Esc' is a good key).
Again, I thank you for the hard work...

Great work guys… your determination towards making this the true successor of Opera gives me hope every week !
By the way... Please...Please...Please... give me my "Ctrl + Shift + C" shortcut back ! in Opera 12.X it used to automatically make a new Note in the Notes... this really made research for me faster and more fun... but with the current builds, I have to select a part of text and then make a note by right clicking and selecting "Add Selection as new Note"...
Now heading to test the new build out...
Thanks, will put it on our TODO list

"Please let us know if you find any critical bug…"
In my mind, yes. Any search at https://aivitals.co.clark.nv.us/WebPIInternet/ causes a hard crash of the UI (but leaves all the other processes running in task manager, to be shut down manually before the browser can be restarted) every single time. This can't be the only page suffering from this malady, as any page which uses this way of displaying search or selection results will obviously do it. Admittedly, the page is bady written and uses a weird and stupid way to display results from its various databases, but Vivaldi is the ONLY browser that crashes trying to negotiate the operation. Some other browsers display the results in very inconvenient ways (like in a separate window, or tiny popup you have to manually expand, or a background tab) but none of them crash. None of them. This tells me VIvaldi's UI has to be modified to accept this bad implementation of search result display without breaking. It will have to be done sooner or later, or be the only browser in the world that can't use this page.
Frankly, this crash is the only thing that keeps me from being able to uninstall a backup browser from the system.

It's strange… the UIs Lag (especially opening the side panel and closing it) is directly connected to the number of opened tabs... I start vivaldi and continuously click on the side panels trigger : the performance is not good and it's not smooth but at least it doesn't lag...
Now I create some empty new tabs (10 of them) and then try opening and closing the side panel and now it starts lagging bad...
I don't have a RAM problem and I still have nearly 12 GBs of it and the CPU isn't busy...
yet the lag is somehow connected to the number of opened tabs (even if they are empty speed dials).UPDATE :
Now I'm sure it's related to the number of opened tabs… I tried opening more and more tabs (opened nearly 20 of them) and the WHOLE browser started lagging : the UI got slow and also opening the side panel... on the other hand the speed dials and their animation stayed intact and smooth... also a tab with heavy Javascript operations (mostly animating stuff) didn't budge... ONLY the UI got slow... not the tabs and whatever was running inside...Can anyone else confirm this problem I'm having or is it just me ?

Thanks guys! Finally a REAL browser and a good rebirth of the old and fantastic Opera 12.x!
Is there a chance to get ctrl+LMB on a speeddial opening a new background tab back?
Greetings

I don't notice this with 26 tabs open, and I have less RAM than you. UI is still quick and smooth (was NOT a couple of versions ago) under the scenario you describe. I do have tab color turned off.
