Snapshot 1.2.490.27 - Closing in on a 1.2 stable release
-
The focus this week has been on fixing up issues that broke since 1.1, as a 1.2 stable release should be just around the corner. Let us know if we are as close as we think we are, or if there is something your are missing.
For this snapshot, we mainly want to know about anything that broke since 1.1. So if you know of something, then tell us below. New features and other fun stuff will come with 1.3, the first snapshot of which should arrive shortly after 1.2 goes stable.

First post, I win. So don't even try it!
-
I'm not saying second!
-
Works like a charm. Thank you!
-
Aw, damn it!!!
-
Third! Guess I have a golden chest! lol…
-
Browser very good, fast and full of features! Thank you very much!

regression since 1.1:
alt+P -> bookmarks is still not working (without wiping profile).
W8.1 x64 with this dirty x32 standalone build -
Thank you for the work. If I scroll to the bottom of the bookmark panel, and right-click the trash line to empty it, the panel items jump to the top. I'm not sure when this started.

Damn, I clicked send a bit too late, now I can't delete it…

Yes, I'm happy they did that! The only thing that I see that "broke" since 1.1 is the fact that opening a new tab makes the tab flicker at the end of the tab bar and then goes straight beside your current tab if you have "After Active Tab" for new tabs. This happened a long time ago, then didn't happen since a few snapshots ago, and started happening again since then. It gives the feeling of instability and it would look more professional and stable if it was fixed.
Other than that, I like the fixes they introduced in this snapshot, and I agree with you that they need to remove the code and features in Chromium that they are not using, but wouldn't that take hiring a coder who knows Chromium well enough to help them do it without breaking anything?
-
shame you didn't post something good
-
Works fine, here, and I've not cleaned profile in ages - certainly not since 1.1.
-
on ubuntu 16.04 is not udating
-
I can't reload page, that sent post data. Other browsers have dialog if you would like to send post data again.
-
weird… got at least 5 confirmation in previous blogpost… so it's affecting some type of OS/type of installations or what then…
(I mean I can't even see settings for bookmarks if I click on the bookmark's menu item… settings for other things work fine) -
I still miss an option to load every tabs when starting the browser.
-
Just like I said earlier the close button is not visible sometimes, please fix this bug, https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser/7684-close-button-on-tabs-not-visible-sometimes
