I decided to jump to UBOLite a month or two ago (wanted to test drive it so I know if it's suitable to switch on my wife's profile when the time comes). I have to say that it has worked perfectly fine for me in "optimal mode". I also have the Vivaldi default blocker settings and I haven't had any ads coming through.
Does that combination also work to nuke YouTube's anti-ad blocker?
For me, yes. I don't know why @pilis01 seems to have to work harder at it.

I just don't use media players to play videos, that's why I have a browser.
If the decoding works. Depends on OS, GPU and driver.

Now, 1 month until Manifest v3 will break usage of extensions in a Vivaldi 7.4 Stable, i fear.

@DoctorG I'd give it at least three months, middle or late august (possibly even September) before Vivaldi 7.6 is released with Chromium 140. We will see
Personally I'm not too worried about uBO, I will miss it, but not for long as there are plenty good alternatives.
What I'm most worried about is Cookie Autodelete, there's no proper alternative, and I'm worried I have to go back to setting cookies to Session and whitelisting domains instead.

On desktop I use Portmaster, it include also Ad/trackerblock filter, including dynamic filters. Imperative app
