mail notifications play sound > nope

since i can remember vivaldi never played any notification sounds for me. its windows 10 & 11
do i have to switch something else on than the "play sound" setting to work? what am i missing? -
Same for me - I gave up on this years ago already. No idea why the option is even there since it has literally never worked for me (and it's still all "on" in my settings).
I thought we could originally select a sound file, but I see there is no option for that in Vivaldi now. Presumably it now uses Windows default notification sound (which I don't want to set since I find it annoying for all the other Windows things).
Ideally I would want to select my own sound for mail (not the WIndows default) and not have noises whenever a new feed article comes in (because I get a couple of hundred of those every day...).

didnt think of that, that its binded to windows sounds,
what the first thing is after installation, what i turn off.
there is no way to redirect to another specific sound i guess then?
wow. after years of vivaldy development one can still not chose a sound for mail what was mandatory in opera. and should be.. -
any workaround or tweak where i can redirect the sound to a chosen one??
