[this is not a request]
@gaelle hmm... personally I dont'get it why there is such a pressure for releasing 1.6 ASAP...
It looks like majority of this requests (including really simple ones) will be just physically impossible to implement in 1.6 because of tight deadline for release
And with current thread creation rule (aka "one thread for one MAJOR.MINOR version") we will just have to.... uhm... copy-paste our posts?...I think that it will be good to think over about best form for threads like this for future...

Enhanced colour picker: usable everywhere in Vivaldi.
Useful for sites, .css tweaks, UI themes and so on. -
Pin All Tabs/Pin Selected Tabs ...
-
@U.F.U.K It is already there.
- Select the tabs with Ctrl + Click, or Shift + Click
- Right-click to pin them all.
-
@THuckabay You sound a bit overdramatic on an almost non-existant issue, look at the file
"%localappdata%\Vivaldi\User Data\Default\Notes"
it's a simple text file, a normal text editor is needed to merge the contents of 2 notes. -
@ROTFL similar to what I've wrote two posts above als a reply to gaelle. 1.6 is out now, and as you said...
-
@ROTFL Whatever the system is, it's not going to be perfect.
The best I can suggest is to rename this thread to "Feature Requests for 1.7" and to delete all replies with fewer than, say, 10 upvotes, and all that have already been implemented. That at least would mean that the thread is reduced to two or three pages instead of twenty, and there's more chance that people will read and vote before posting the same feature request again.
The system we had before was no better. Someone (Ayespy, then me) had to compile and maintain a list of popular feature request.
Anyway, let gaelle decide what will work best for her.

With the current limitation for editing our own posts, I'm against that idea.

Why would you want to change a request that you made for 1.6? Surely, if you wanted it for 1.6, and it has not been implemented yet, it goes without saying that you still want it for 1.7?
-
@Pesala To add some details that I forgot about, to correct some mistakes, to clarify something etc. Besides, current topic is quite messy and so far no one has done anything to sort it out (despite multiple requests for doing so). I imagine that this would just require a lot of time - time that could be spent on something more productive than sorting out an old topic. Closing this one and starting anew is easier than cleaning and sweeping through that little "chaos"...
By the way, any reason for abolishing the current 60 min time-frame for editing posts sounds good to me.

@Andy2222 A bit late to the party but you can get bookmark separators in menus already, just create a new bookmark, name it as
---
and place where you wish to see the separator. -

Well, maybe "Feature Requests for 2.0"?
Because Vivaldi 1.6 (was released today) and it has only 3 tabs-related new features.PS: My all Feature Requests for 1.5 are still the same, so if there will be next thread "Feature Requests for 1.7" I will have to copy-paste them again

A menu type o Firefox or Chrome, if possible with thumbnails to "facilitate" the life of some users ...
-
Extensive privacy controls.
it's not a secret that many sites ignore option "do not track" and as Vivaldy develops like no other with variety of functions, i hope it can provide more options to protect user's privacy or maybe even mislead persuasive tracking web-sites.
example from another Chromium-based browser that has many options for user.
p.s. sorry, i didn't find any way to hide pictures under cut.
-
Tabs memory management.
lazy session loading is great! what yet is needed - more abilities:- to unload opened tab(s) = manually or after set minutes tab not used
- open tab in background, but not load it = load it only when user clicks on it later
-
Notes with reminds feature
an option for a note to become reminder with options:- remind user of this note on specific date = user opens browser and sees pop-up of note on this day. for example that one needed to visit some pages this day, or that 2 weeks ago there was a note about web-store that has discounts today
- reminder when page visited = first time you make note on specific page/domain and later when you visit it, Vivaldy reminds that there is a note connected to this address.

How about making the feature requests not dependent on a specific version of Vivaldi?
I think the point of this thread was not only to get the feature requests but also to get them kind of sorted by priority for users.
But I agree that a thread with 20+ pages is too much. When it exceeded 10 pages users started to request features that where already asked for.
It would be helpful if there could be threads within the thread Replies to replies not shown. This way a feature/request could be discussed without making the whole thread confusing. In addition the current way to up/downvote a feature is not helpful in my opinion. It should be possible to upvote and downvote independently. Right now a feature requested by one person and disliked by another adds up to zero. The same happens to a feature liked by 20 and disliked by 20. But while the further is obviously not of interest the latter has 20 users (plus those that are not using the forum) interested in the feature, so it might be a good idea to add the feature as an option.
