          1. Search engines stopped working from search bar (except main search engine)
          2. Scrolling view in panels (bookmarks, history, downloads) is noticeably slower (lags)

For me the issue with the omnibox is that I get so much less results than with the original Vivaldi address bar

I'm used to getting search suggestions, suggestions from bookmarks and suggestions from previously visited sites.

With this version I get a popup message saying "reload this page to apply your updated settings to this site" anytime I try to use several of my extensions.
                Extremely annoying and intrusive.
Reloading the page does nothing because none of the extensions are interacting with the page in any way.

Reverting back to 7.1.3570.42 fixes it.

The new search drop down menu is a big step backwards. You completely removed the ability to choose what to show (below screenshot is from the stable, completely removed from the snapshot).

                  ab78dbac-9209-4061-9ba6-6b7faaaadb31-image.png

I don't want any history, open tabs, bookmarks, etc., except what I have chosen, to show in the address bar search drop down. Why was this regression made?

                  Also, noticed one bug already:

                  1. Type several characters
                  2. Press Backspace key to bottom (= try to erase all text)
= the text cursor erases all text, BUT, after the last character is gone, the first character comes back, and it can't be erased before typing another character.

Hi, you can disable the new omnibox in vivaldi://experiments but I don't know how long they keep both versions.
The bug is known and will get addressed at some point.

Yeah, saw that earlier in this topic, thanks for the tip though!

But like you said, the ability to change it back might go away. And if this new version doesn't allow to select what to see, it means that I'll have to turn it off completely and miss search suggestions (I hate those history/open tab entries more than I like the suggestions). 😞

First of all, thank you dear developers for this wonderful browser.

Don't know if this is just me or if everybody else has this problem, but I'm unable to create any exception on permissions for any specific website.

If i try to enable cookies on youtube.com, for example, and click on "add domain", this is what happens:

                          add domain

                          no domain

The only way to create this exceptions is "underneath" Vivaldi, via chrome:settings

I'm on latest snapshot on Debian Trixie/Gnome.

Once again, thank you for Vivaldi!

That's because of the new omnibox (which no one seems to like).

You can get that dropdown back by deselecting the omnibox here

Since there is a new Currency Converter widget, maybe there should be a calculator widget too to complete the utilitarian theme
