[Panels][Tab Notifications] Dynamic updates not applied in web panels (VB-112353)
Good job,thanks!
Very pity.
Tested on web.skype.com, dynamic notifications can only be successfully updated in the tab, and there is no response in the web panel.
@Ruarí Ødegaard -
A little too much CPU usage since latest update…

If I click a link in an email with the mouse wheel, Vivaldi crashes instantly. Win 11.
Are you sure you're using this current snapshot? As @DoctorG says, it should be fixed now:
[Crash][Mail] Opening an image from a mail message crashes Vivaldi (VB-112248)
This has fixed it for me. I was cursing and shouting last week since I automatically use middle-click to open newsfeeds all the time - I was crashing Vivaldi every couple of minutes!
-
I'll have to verify later when I'm home. Mouse wheel works ok on the computer I'm on today. So that might be the case.

@Ruarí Ødegaardand i cant tick "detect page title notifications" on panel setting to make it work.

I discovered today that I can't copy a calendar event in this snapshot (CTRL-C and context menu option both don't work).
Apparently CTRL-V paste does work - I was wondering why I got a strange event title at a certain time, then realised these were bits of a piece of text I'd copied earlier in an unrelated document.
I used stable Vivaldi on another laptop to do the calendar work (I needed to copy/paste a load of shift times for days in January - really didn't want to enter each one by hand!), so it is a problem with the snapshot.
Don't remember seeing it mentioned, so I'll file a bug report if someone confirms.

@mossman
Hi, I can confirm, Ctrl+C and context menu doesn't copy but I cant with my internal build Vivaldi 7.1.3557.6.
So no bug report needed, this is already fixed.Cheers, mib

Still experiencing bookmarks in the sidebar not updating - i.e. I double click on a bookmark folder to expand it, but I don't see any visual change (except for the scrollbar - which is reflecting the new height of the tree) until I hide the panel and show it again. I haven't seen any regularity in this (i.e. I don't know for sure how to reproduce it). Are you folks aware? Is there something I can try?
-
@killchain In the latest internal version i don't encounter this problem, have you tried creating a new profile and checking if the problem occurs?
-
It seems the behaviour of
Ctrl+F
changed in this snapshot. It used to be that when it was already up, a second
Ctrl+F
would simply focus the search field and select the whole text so when typing you'd just search the next string.
But now the keybind seems to be a toggle that opens and closes the Find panel instead, whether it is currently focused or not.Am I the only one experiencing this?
-
@mihawk90 It is a feature request now implemented in the latest Snapshot.
Ctrl+F Should Toggle Find in Page
Use F3 (Find Next) to focus the search field.
-
@mihawk90 Yeah, kind of an unnecessary change if you ask me. The Find-in-page field was always closable by ESC. Some users just seem to think since there's a little
X
that's the only way to close a dialog.But... Vivaldi delivers on its feature requests I guess
You can always map Ctrl+F to Find next in page.
I just use F3 and Shift+F3. -
Merry Christmas and Happy Browsing everyone!
