Goodbye Vivaldi Mail
-
That is how the setting should be for Quad9.
I hope you will resume using Vivaldi Mail.

@edwardp
Quad 9 is what I use and from the testing I´ve done it is also the fastest. -
I found a (Fixed/Verified) bug report at the Chromium project, which indicates Quad9 has been added to the pull-down list, but it's not in the list today.
Comment indicating it was added.

@edwardp said in Goodbye Vivaldi Mail:
indicates Quad9 has been added
There are several Quad9 related entries in the code for DnsOverHTTPS, but they appear disabled by some kind of feature, which does not appear to be included in the normal feature control system.
Several of the changelog entries indicates that there were fieldtrials for that provider.
As to why the entries are not active, that is a question better posed to the Chromium team.

I use Vivaldi Mail because I like it
-
@intersk I tried Vivaldi Mail because I wanted to like it, but it lacks certain features that are essential for me. It is also janky in certain ways.
In other words, M3 as a Vivaldi feature is still too primitive for me.

How would it be if all of us who are less than satisfied write a wish-list to the M3 developers, instead of being sad and saying goodbye to M3? (Agreed, it takes a bit of time. I am looking critically at myself... ) Sure, there are a number of things that could be added. My own favourite email client is an old one that will sadly be discontinued, and at present I am merely playing with M3. It has potential that should be developed.

- bugs should be reported first here on the forum (in case they are known, no need to flood the bug tracker, if not then the discussion helps describing the bug such that it's easier to reproduce and confirm).
- Feature wishes should be.posted in the feature wish forum, again for discussion and to vote
- General topics should be discussed in the relevant main forum of that topic for the sake of exchanging viewpointa
- To make the discussions stay on point, each topic should have its own thread. It's totally ok to discuss a sentiment where issues are just added to illustrate the point, however those discussions tend to delve into the technical. And obviously it would help to continue an existing discussion rather than starting a new one,.so a search before posting something new is good practice.

@Granite1 hope vivaldi fix the search function, this is totally important feature

@shojivrstrinova8 Issues with the search function of Vivaldi Mail have so far not been discussed in this thread. If you see an issue, please describe it in a new thread so we can discuss it there. See the last bullet point in my previous post.
