WebSerial not working on Version 7

@DoctorG I have the same problem that the dialog doesn't appears. Specially at web.esphome.io to program ESP-Devices.
In former versions of Vivaldi it appears.
I tried Chrome the other day on the same machine and it worked well.
I saw a list of serials with permissions, I deleted them in hope that the problem is solved - I reset the settings for serial as well.
Actually I can not access the serials nor the dialog appears. -
@FlyingEaglE i found in internal bug tracker this bug:
VB-111198 "Can't use web serial in latest Vivaldi" - confirmed, no developer assigned. -
In meantime i suggest an other browser for the task with need of serial port management.

No, the bugtracker is not available for public.
But you can ask me from time to time, i am a internal bug tester.

@FlyingEaglE @mudpoet @tfcroft4 Can you tell what is still wrong for you now with current 7.0 Stable or 7.1 Snapshot?
Is it the issue where the popup to select devices is not shown?
Or is the popup for devices shown but you get no connection? -

That issue is still unfixed.

I have the same issue. Serial is not working (the popup to choose a device is not opening). I tried several pages which use this feature with different devices on different systems (all Windows).

We have a valid report and more reports do not speed-up getting a fix. -
It doesn't look like it's not working at all.
I've just flashed my radiomaster radio via buddy.edgetx.org w/o any issues.
However esc-configurator is not working, as much as betaflight configurator web app.So, it's definitley something changed between 6 and 7 but problem is not only in vivaldi because some websites continue to work as expected.

@josser The bug with webSerial is reported and still unfixed.

@DoctorG Yes, but how you can explain why same web serial features are working on edgetx website?

@josser I can not. I have no such devices.
I think it is because devices are not always detected (no popup with list) or after select in list not connected.

Why hasn't this bug been fixed yet? It's really annoying. I even launched the "clean" version of the browser and I still can't see any devices. Why do browser developers make it worse and worse with every update?

@MARK2580 It is a bug which failed in older versions to connect by WebSerial, too.
No timeline to get a fix.
