Why does Vivaldi not sync regulary?

For the first time, I have experienced this issue between iOS and MacOS. The sync settings for MacOS were up to date, but the tabs synced from Mac OS to iOS were last synced 7 hours ago.
I'm glad a fix is on its way though!

This is in the final stages of testing now. I expect fast and responsive sync to roll out soon, but I can’t promise an exact date. However, as a Scandinavian company, most of our employees have the entire month of July off for summer vacation. So, it won’t be this month.
Is this really true? I keep seeing new features rolled out, but it would be even better to get a fix for sync...
I don't really care about a fancy new settings menu, I just want sync that actually works please.

Yes, it is. Faster, more responsive sync is in testing. I, for one, am testing it.

I can’t promise a date, but there has been steady progress made on this. This feature should be ready to go real soon. Unless something unexpected and really bad pops up, this should be ready for the next feature release.
This is probably my last opportunity to tease this upcoming feature …
In our internal test builds, it takes a second or two from opening a new page until it’s show in the Synced Tabs and Windows panel lists on your other synced devices. It takes a second or two from you change a note on one device until the change pops up in your other devices.

The new Sync system is rolling out in the Snapshot test builds now. We’re talking Sync within one-digit seconds instead of minutes and hours.
It’s only available on desktop right now, but the next round of mobile Snapshot builds should include the same fast Sync system. Unless something goes horribly wrong, the new Sync system should make it into the next major stable release.

So excited to see instant sync rolling out! Unfortunately it is for Desktop only. Will there be a release for mobile soon?

Vivaldi 7.0 for Desktop and Mobile has the new Blazin’ Fast Sync.
