@Pesala RFK actually sounds like an amazing choice to me.
What he wants to do for food safety sounds pretty awesome, as well as the vaccine mandate stuff.
"Kennedy's political rhetoric often uses conspiracy theories."
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_F._Kennedy_Jr.
"His relatives and family members sharply criticised him for helping to spread "dangerous misinformation". For example, he accused Bill Gates or his foundation of alleged vaccine damage in India or Africa, which proved to be false in several fact checks.
https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_F._Kennedy_Jr."In the past, he has repeatedly spread false statements about Covid-19 and the safety of vaccinations.
He comes from the prominent Kennedy family and has been criticised for spreading conspiracy theories and having contacts with far-right politicians."https://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/uswahl/trump-team-namen-100.html
I don't believe that these people are all lying.
For me, this is not "fake news" either.

I think our beautiful Vivaldi Forum is also a place where we can express our feelings.
And I assume that it will remain such a place.
No matter who wins or loses an election in the world.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as US Secretary of Health and Human Services?
Why on earth not?
He is not an Antivaxer, just anti vaccine mandates, and in favour of proper double-blind trials. Follow the science, not the FUD.
This is a lie of the most brazen and spectacular variety.
To believe something so outrageously false, is to live in an alternate reality.

What is so wrong about expressing fear and depression on living in a country which is going remove many civil rights after a election?
This is not a fight about which political side is good and which is the bad.I am so tired to see that in many countries polarisation wins and splits society in two blocks, The Good and the Bad.
Over decades i try to respect (that is a life-long learning process) other opinions as long as they are not a start of oppression and intimidation.
We should listen and respect the person in front of us and "walk a few miles in their shoes".
We should support people we know, not politicians and their financial bubble.My thought from some minutes ago: 'Freedom is a state, not a political product.'

@DoctorG
Very well said.Thank you for your, I think, very apt words.
You have beautiful thoughts, well formulated.
"Freedom is a state, not a political product."Unfortunately, my 10x for you today are already spent.
So I'll have to wait.In this way, we can perhaps help to take a closer look at things and perhaps rethink some attitudes.

I don't understand what you mean by that.
Would you like to explain it?

I also think @Ayespy is trying to blind us all.
It's also stupid to be a Cyclops.
Full of irony again today, @luetage?
I'll try it in a moment in another way.
Try ...
Please don't get angry @Ayespy.
We just want to save you.

I read that in a few weeks there are going to be elections in Germany. If the XXX wins, will those who don't agree be allowed to say they feel Sad, Depressed and Scared or a silly thing like that?
Of course they can.
I don't see what would be silly about that either.
Look at this full post and what @Pathduck said at the end when he locked it:

@Pathduck said:
As this topic quickly turned into political mudslinging of the worst kind, I'm locking it.
Does it not seem to you then that there is inconsistency in the procedure in both threads?

@ingolftopf Uhmmm, yeah. Right.

"Trump apparently talks to Putin about Ukraine war
Status: 11.11.2024 08:01During the election campaign, future US President Trump promised to end the Ukraine war quickly. Now there was apparently a phone call with Putin. He is said to have warned the Russian president."
https://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/amerika/trump-telefonat-putin-100.htmlOh, oh, will anything good come of this?
The "Tagesschau" has been a very reputable, public, legal news source for as long as the Federal Republic of Germany has existed.

"Trump makes UN critic UN ambassador
Status: 12.11.2024 11:30Elise Stefanik is to become UN ambassador under future US President Trump. The 40-year-old is considered a Trump supporter and UN critic. She gained respect with one appearance in particular."
https://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/amerika/usa-trump-stefanik-un-botschafterin-100.htmlI have noticed this lady quite unpleasantly through her appearances in the House of Representatives and in committees.

Nikki Haley, the "birdbrain", as Trump called her, has of course played out.
He never forgive her for her candidacy.
Despite his insults, she has always behaved him very fairly.
Trump would have been banned here in our Vivaldi forum long ago for his eternal insults.
He wouldn't even have got over this hurdle.
