@Zalex108 unfortunately that is old guide, vivaldi now ignores chrome dark mode flag, and I can't use "dark mode for websites" setting cause it looks very bad compared to dark reader addon.

i did try "--force-dark-mode" launch option, it also did nothing to the white screen. -

IIRC, that setting managed the start up screen. -
I fixed the white screen on loading new tabs, but it needs to be done for each site you visit in ublock, like this:
www.google.com##html:style(background:#1f1f1f!important)edit: still doesn't fix white screen for history or bookmarks, only for opening with address bar.

@barbudo2005 yeah, I do use empty start page with my own custom image, but it doesn't fix that white screen without adding the html style hack to each site.

Then there is something else that is triggering the white screen.
I don't see white screen and I use this settings:

@barbudo2005 do you see white screen when opening a link from history or bookmarks? for me every site does this, the only solution is to middle click and open it in new tab.

Not white screen at all.
Check if there is an extension that could be causing the problem.

i tried on clean vivaldi portable with dark theme enabled - still has the same white screen. it seems to be intended behavior, it briefly loads about:blank when opening a site, and about:blank can't be touched by dark reader. the only way to fix it is enable "Force a dark theme on all websites" setting which will break dark reader.
