@vladimoira
Hi, I have no idea if anyone report this to the bug tracker, if not it will never be fixed.
I cant report something I cant reproduce.Cheers, mib
-
@mib3berlin hi, yes sorry I did report it to the bug tracker when I made that post. VAB-8063 I've been sick lately and haven't been getting my notifications for my emails.

@vladimoira
Ah OK, I hope your feeling better now.
I add a comment, a link to this thread and some tags, to the report.
It is unconfirmed at moment.Cheers, mib

I reported it VAB-8084.
Seems to happen when a downloaded app has the Accessibility function turned on. The bug seems to occur with several downloaded apps but always with the helper for AnyDesk. It's AnyDesk Control Service AD1.
If the Accessibility feature is turned off for all downloaded apps, the banner disappears in about 5 seconds
The same reason seems to also stop the screen going Full Screen on scrolling up. See https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/85081/full-screen

@mib2berlin another popup which is quite annyoing is the wifi/data one (temporary offline). Can last a similar amount of time (5/10s). But being an android feature I doubt vivaldi can fix it.

@Harrisc
Hi, I can reproduce this with 6.2 and with the snapshot 6.3.3139.12.
I have enabled accessibility feature for Microsoft Link to Windows and/or KDE connect.
But Chrome and Chromium does the same, closing a tab open a message for 30 seconds.
They doesn't have the scroll feature so I cant test this but this is not a Vivaldi bug
The same for VAB-8063 and VAB-8083.
I will leave comments and let the developer decide what to do.@vladimoira
Hi, do you have accessibility features enabled? -
@Hadden89
Hi, how can I test this? -
I was able to trace the source of mine to AVG antivirus accessibility features having gotten hung up. By disabling and re-enabling them in the Android system settings the prompt is now dismissing after 3-5 seconds as intended.
Thanks for your help!

This was seemingly reported to bug tracker by some Gmail user many weeks ago... it is open for developers to rectify at a low priority level. So far nobody fixed this bug, and only one Google user has "starred" it

Once again, the notification closing time has increased to 10 seconds. The optimal value is 2-3 seconds, not more. It would be great to disable this type of notifications completely, I don't need them. Optional, of course.
And it would be fantastic to make a section in the settings where each type of notification can be disabled or set the time of its display.

@far4
Hi, I am all for a setting to disable it, in Firefox ou can swipe it away even it stays for only 3-4 seconds.
Opera doesn't show it at all, or I cant find the setting.EDIT: I confirmed report:
VAB-8084
Closed tab confirmation persists too long
And ask to change it into a setting/feature request. -
Why can't I set an option?
I don't want to see its undo prompt for even a second -
@lo52570
Because it's only available in snap for now. -

@Kevin36
I don't speak French but I guess you want to say it is in Vivaldi 7.0 now.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Yes

Getting back to this for a bit.
I have noticed in the meantime, that there are some Vivaldi pop-ups, that can be swipe left closed (not sure right now what are those, I might add the example later).
Therefore I wonder why the tab close undo pop-up isn't the same type of pop-up.
I understand it makes some sense to make it persistent to maximize chances of being able to undo close tab, but the likelihood of accidentally left swipe closing the pop-up seems minimal to me and I would therefore suggest changing the type of pop-up used.
What do you think?
