Today’s snapshot includes a jump from Chromium 124 to 126 and a range of fixes and improvements.
Where did the privacy settings go?

The dark mode flag change still not save after changing it and the browser got restarted to trigger the switch.
vivaldi://flags/#enable-force-dark
Maybe it is a Chromium issue and not Vivaldi, but I do not use other Chromium-based browser, so I did not know it, this happens in other Chromiuim-based browser.
ps.: I'm using portable version, but same happens in the installed version as well.
More about this, in my comment, under a previous snapshot.

Might be more keyboard related issues?
yes, for example I have setnope, with a clean profile it worksCtrl+Shift+W
to "close other tabs" and it's not working as well (or rather "reliably" well, 'cause after some tries it has closed something...) -
This post is deleted! -
the compact menu design is resetting over "the time". compact design is enabled, but I get the big menus. I deactivate the setting, restart vivaldi and enable it back, after restart it's ok. but after time (or another restart?) I get the big menus back
anyone else?Win10 22H2

Hi,
If that's in between updates, this would be related to the Flags reset.For the "Temporary unexpire" and its dependants, happens frequently after the big updates.
-
@ruarí: and you just got a new set of slightly worn tires ^_~

Hi,
On this Snap, noticed Custom User Css for Video, as Page Action, doesn't work.
Brightness / Contrast
Tested on Youtube / Vimeo.
Previous Snap and Stable works fine.@Pesala
Are you on Snap?
Is Brightness CSS working on your system?For example:
/* ----------------------------------------------------------- | CSS | - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Description: Adjust Contrast Filename: Version: Date: 2021 Author: Nomadic Topic: https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/449833 ----------------------------------------------------------- */ video { filter: contrast(120%) !important; }
W11 23H2
Thx

@Zalex108 This CSS code no longer works on YouTube. I use uBlock Origin.
video { filter: brightness(150%) !important; }

I don't understand,
What's the relationship between the CSS and UBlock?BTW,
I've tested on a Clean Profile without extensions on other Video sites with the same result. -

It is one thing that has changed for me recently. The CSS used to work, but I don’t know why it has stopped working.
Edit: My mistake. It does work if I use the correct code.
video { filter: brightness(150%);}

I'll try to check whether I can see any difference before ask NomadicIDK whether would be a problem or a change.
Thx

@DoctorG 3 different usernames on the same site.
It happens on both (Win10 x64 and Win11 x64). -
@DoctorG Thank you for your time! I thought I have a broken setting somewhere!
Now, at least, I know it's not a bug, it's a feature!LE: And thanks for the hint with Profiles. It might be useful sometimes!

Looks like a bug with how it handles the
!important
clause.
Try removing that.Test cases:
https://codepen.io/stianlund/full/oNRZmdq
https://pathduck.github.io/test/video-filters/
Videos should have the same filters, but the first one with!important
does not.
In Stable 6.7 and other browsers it works as expected.Reported as
VB-106998 CSS filters with !important clause do not work

Will check later,
Thank you!! -
Has anyone noticed that on some sites opening links in a background tab (either by mouse middle/wheel click, or by selecting "open in a background tab" from the context menu) actually change to opened tab?!
Haven't seen this happen before. What is weird is that some links on some sites DO open in background but not all.
For example, trying to open a link in a background tab in google or startpage search results page open the tabs in view, not in background. Very weird.

I have noticed it, yes.
But no idea how to reproduce it consistently.
Seems to happen after a browser start, possibly the first tab.Try to find exact reproduction steps starting from a clean profile.
For example, trying to open a link in a background tab in google or startpage search results page open the tabs in view, not in background.
Problem is it doesn't happen every time.
-
@Preorian @Pathduck
I can reproduce this, have only one tab open the fist "background" tab always open in foreground, the next tabs open in the background.
This happen always in the forum and https://blenderartists.org/c/general-forums/5 -

Not for me like that, it seems to be just random. Just tried links on one site, middle clicked and link opened in a new tab, then tried few more times with middle click & open from context menu and same thing happened, and then suddenly both methods actually open links in a background tab as should have happened from the start. It's REALLY weird. Impossible to find steps to reproduce.
I really REALLY hope this bug doesn't find its way to stable branch. This totally ruins my browsing of web. Someone from Vivaldi (maybe Chromium) team should try to check this out without us finding steps to reproduce.
