Day is going OK.

@ct8 my day has been very relaxing. I've had plenty of time to peacefully reflect on life and it's meaning.

A nice thread, a good idea.
For me, a nice day today.
A good workflow, thanks to 'Vivaldi'.

âRemember, remember, the fifth of November.â
This promises to be an interesting day. Celebrating the protection of Democracy in UK when the gun-powder plot to blow up the Houses of Parliament was foiled, and the Royalists were defeated.
âBonfireâ derives from âBonefire,â when during epidemics there were too many corpses to bury, so they piled them up and made a âbonefire.â
Will Democracy survive the US Presidential elections?

Very nice that you thought of this quote for today.
âBonfireâ derives from âBonefire,â when during epidemics there were too many corpses to bury, so they piled them up and made a âbonefire.â
Thank you, I didn't know that yet.
Will Democracy survive the US Presidential elections?
Let's all hope so.
I'm just afraid that Elon Musk is working very hard against it right now.

@mikeyb2001
Have a good start to the day. It's already 13:00 here in Germany.
Unfortunately, there are no 'forecasts' for the US election, like in Europe, Germany, after the polls close.
So we have to wait,
perhaps quite a long wait. But many, many people are very, very excited.
All over the world.

So we have to wait,
Fox News announced a win for Trump 3 hours ago.
It has been a very good 24 hours for me. $TSLA is currently up pre-market about 15% on yesterdayâs closing price. That equates to almost 30% per annum Interest on my investment in nearly four years, so my supportersâ donations will go a lot further as a result.
-
It is clear that 'Fox News' was very quick to postulate this.
Unfortunately, they were right.
But, as Democratic candidate Kamala Harris said,
"We have to accept the results of this election."Think that if only a small part of the so-called "Project 2025" is actually implemented, the USA and parts of the world will face difficult times.
However, fundamentally believes in human emotion and common sense.
"Remember, remember the fifth of November."

Hope that no new 'king' can be established as a result of this bang.
That the oldest democracy in the world will probably be stronger.Edit: Somehow I still find it difficult to realise that this really happened.

I woke up a couple of hours ago, working from home today. I'm eating porridge and having coffee for breakfast. Trying to avoid any news sites regarding yesterday's American election.

@ingolftopf Commenting on Trumpâs win, Caitlyn Jenner on đ said:
âI havenât seen a man beat a woman this bad since the OlympicsâŚâ
-
Who is Caitlyn Marie Jenner?
"Jenner is a member of the Republican Party and was a supporter of Donald Trump."
https://de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caitlyn_Jenner
"Jenner appeared in the Australian version of Big Brother VIP.Â
In 2022, Fox News hired Jenner as an on-air contributor.
In April 2024, Jenner again reversed her position by supporting Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election." -
My day today was sad and sorrowful, as always. Why wasn't I born outside of Russia? Every day, something is invented, and I'm fighting with my classmates again
