Jump to Chromium 124 – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 3327.3

I am still on old snapshot,
[Workspaces] Switch using the mouse wheel (VB-105494)
I don't use Workspaces feature, but I am curious can mouse wheel be disabled here? I see a problem with mouse wheel and UI items that can be triggered accidentally.

Can we get back compact, square menus that don't waste screen space? This new "design" is ugly AF.
In Firefox there was 3 density options:
- Compact
- Normal
- Touch
they removed Compact few years ago, and now Compact option only available via about:config and considered "not supported"
Square tabs, square menus and compact UI! +1

I take back everything I said about the new UI and menu. @mib2berlin gave me finally the insight I was looking for. Boy that was sneaky, but good. So here it goes, this is basically a covert effort by Vivaldi to promote Linux with GNOME as the Dekstop Environment, as you can see it fits perfect with the DE! (except for the rough edges of Vivaldi's bottom, but I think they can be made round too)
(the above picture is GNOME in openSUSE TW, double click for full size)
/edit: broken image link? how so

@npro what an ugly rounded search and rounded buttons on Exit dialog!
-
@Stardust Both don't look good since it look like copy of apple os. For linux desktop I prefer Cinnamon.
-
@master_kosa helo fellow linux user! I am using Budgie
-
@Stardust You could say that as a response to my previous post but not anymore, now it makes sense!

you mean like a really trashy copy of it . At least apple os has transparency, blur and other effects and it is an actual "desktop" environment, not a "tablet" one.

Same place it is in 6.6; lower right corner, at least for my builds
\resources\vivaldi\resources\symbol-reload.svg
This picture was lost approximately after build 6.6.3249.4, and it is this image that is shown when clearing data with Ctr+Shift+Del.
She needs to be returned...

That's the weirdest thing!
Now I got the old menus back - thank you so much!

@mossman, yes, "Make use of..." is a pretty crappy site with tons of tracking cookies and annoying pop-ups to desactivate your security, it's in my list of no-go sites. But using Site Bleacher all this crap will be deleted (it do same as a visit in private window, there is nothing stored)
Anyway, there are also other comparatives Vivaldi vs Tor in sites which are less maniac, some of these are not so up to date but fair reviewshttps://www.slant.co/versus/5232/5233/~tor-browser_vs_vivaldi

I'll give my opinion, I thought it was too big with a lot of space on the menu and in other places too since I use favorites a lot. Did not like.
If it's going to be like Chrome, I'd better use Chrome.
If I'm already using Vivaldi, it's because it's different and I don't want to do it like Chrome.
They want to do the same, do the same as the OPERA GX. which has sound when you type, sound when you close the tabs. and various effects. -

Vivaldi can never be like Chrome. Too many features to remove
