YouTube Ad Blocker

I'm in a similar spot, and I might need to turn off Vivaldi's built-in Ads blocker and install uBlock Origin instead.
The method of changing the URL suggested above doesn't work, unfortunately.
When I do that, this is what I get:
With that said, Vivaldi's Ads blocker worked fine for me until yesterday. Now, I get this warning from YouTube:
Ad blockers violate YouTube's Terms of Service * It looks like you may be using an ad blocker. Video playback is blocked unless YouTube is allowlisted or the ad blocker is disabled. * Ads allow YouTube to be used by billions worldwide. * You can go ad-free with YouTube Premium, and creators can still get paid from your subscription. Allow YouTube Ads Try YouTube Premium
The same issue happened a while back with uBlock origin, but some filters I found around seem to have worked fine.

@InkBlizzard There are several threads on this topic. See, for example, Annoying Ads on YouTube are back.
For now, I don't see them using the default Vivaldi ad-blocker settings, but no doubt the YouTube TOS message will show up again sooner or later.
-
At the moment no ads in YT with the Vivaldi Adblocker desactivated and instead with the Violentmonkey extension and this script, which obviosly isn't seen by the YT anti adblock bot

That's my solution and it's worked consistently since they posted what to do on their Reddit thread.
I also keep this pinned.
There may be other solutions but since this has yet to fail me I'll stick with it.

Has anybody managed to block YouTube spam similar to the one shown in this picture?
It looks like the Ads have been blocked in Vivaldi latest but now I get bombarded with the message like the one shown in the picture after every videos. Surely, we should be able to block this.
-
I'm not so familiar with Browser technology but are these fundamental problems?
Can't use Firefox Add-on
If we can use Firefox add-on on Vivaldi, YouTube Ads can be blocked?
AdBlocker for YouTube – Get this Extension for Firefox (en-US)
( In this regard, I found this add-on doesn't work only by extracting because it's manifest v2)Blink has no problem?
If Blink(mainly developed by Google) is a cause, using other engine can be solution?
Isn't it impossible to independent from Google totally?
I don't know this problem is related to Blink, but if so, Is Gecko solution?
Gecko had problems several years ago, but now they are solved and even better in some points.
Last post is 2018: Why Blink and not Gecko? | Vivaldi ForumOf course, it's difficult to migrate but if Blink have more problems, it can be a choice as a goal for the future, I think.

@lamrongol I use the built-in ad-blocker on YouTube. It works for a while, then the warning dialogs appear again. Clearing cookies may help, but I have not figured out a reliable way to reset the ad-blocker to bypass the YouTube banners permanently.
-
@lamrongol, for YT I use the inbuild trackerblocker in Vivaldi and the Violentmonkey extension with this script, With this I cut the YT video ads since half a year without problems.
You can find hundreds of scripts you can install in this extension, also for YT in GreasyFork and Openusejs.

@jtanna This only seems to appear when you are logged in. Log out, clear site data, and try again.
-
@luetage, I'm logged in, but have the YT account separate from the Google account, it's an option for EU users.
-
@Catweazle Thank you, at least for now, it works.
-
@Catweazle Sorry for additional question, is there a way on Android?
-
For mobile phone the best is to use NewPipe:
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/org.schabi.newpipe/
What's New:
Bookmarked Playlists:
Subscriptions:
-
@barbudo2005 Hmmm... I didn't know f-droid and have some anxiety but I will try after researching.
-
NewPipe is in F-droid because it is reliable and not in Google Play.
-
@lamrongol
Adguard? It works very good in vivaldi android.
At least for me:)
I use their pc app in windows too and I haven't had any issue with YouTube in windows too. -
@barbudo2005 Hmmm... NewPipe is not a extension of Vivaldi(Chrome). Isn't it? For Example, when I view Twitter and open external link and it is YouTube, I can't avoid ads?
@electryon I found a page says security issues occurred a few times on AdGuard, is it really safety?
-

It is an app not an extension.

Yes.
-
@barbudo2005 Sorry but I've searched and checked app but can't find a way to use NewPipe as an extension.
At least, Vivaldi on Android doesn't have a function of extensions? https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/89551/extensions-on-android/4 -
@lamrongol said in YouTube Ad Blocker:

Because it's not an extension. It's an app.
And, no, Vivaldi Android cannot accept extensions.
