Unsolved Download Won't Start with SuiteSparse Matrix Collection

Hi, to preface this is an issue I've experienced on Vivaldi on macOS 14.X.X and Windows 10 and 11.

When I go to SuiteSparse Matrix Collection and look up a matrix to download - tested on roughly a dozen matrices - when I click any of the download links, nothing happens (screenshot below):

But when I right click, "Copy Link Address", and paste into Safari or Microsoft Edge, the download works seamlessly. Is this perhaps a security feature I can disable, or is it a bug with Vivaldi? Below is an example "Link Address" for the Trefethen_20000 matrix:

@ChloZ This site stupidly does a redirect from the secure site to an "insecure" one:
http://sparse-files.engr.tamu.edu/mat/JGD_Trefethen/Trefethen_20000.mat

Vivaldi will block these downloads, but there's also a bug that you don't get any choice when it happens.

For now a workaround should be to right-click, Save As.

@Pathduck Thank you for the workaround! My professor running a WeBWorK website also encounters a similar issue where the redirect is "insecure".

Purpose of this response is to future readers; when you right click on the link, click "Save Link As...", and choose a directory to save the file to, there is a noticeable amount of time that will pass before the prompt to "Discard" or "Keep" appears in the "Downloads" tab. That time that passes seems to only happen once as when I attempt to recreate & time this delay, it hasn't happened again.
