Hi, this was reported already and confirmed, I mark your report as duplicate of VB-103674.
Please ask in the forum if other user can reproduce and/or if somebody report this to the bug tracker the next time you find an issue/bug.
No problem at moment, it simply create some extra work for the developer.
They should fix bugs quickly.Cheers, mib

Great job, thanks to the team.
I especially like the improvements to the panels. There is one thing I still wish for - the ability to pin them open when they are set to auto-close on loss of focus. Once in a while one wants them to remain open for completing an extended task.
The mail improvements sound good, but I don't use that module. -
i like the new forced dark mode, but i dont like how its applied to Every Website. can you add a way to exclude websites from it please

I second this. Since some websites don't look right when forcing dark mode, it would be nice to have a 'per website' setting.

Both Canvas Anti-fingerprint extensions [1], [2] show an unchangable fingerprint on https://browserleaks.com/canvas with Shift+F5 (hard refresh). The fingerprint is changing if one uses Vivaldi without the UI with
vivaldi --disable-vivaldi
, is this going to be addressed in the future? -
There's a very fast flashbang when starting the browser with this version, noticable ofc when using a dark theme.

Yes, i saw gray UI splash for a very short time on my Debian 12.

I'm seeing a white one, flash is white
-
@npro I have such flash on Android 10 6.6 Snapshot.
Short white flash with Desktops's dark mode on Linux, too.
-
I fail to see the panel additions. I always had navigational buttons in web panels as far as i remember? Do i need to do something to use the extensions in the webpanels?

For now, you have two possibilities:
-
Uncheck โForce a dark theme on all websitesโ.
-
Or open the settings page (protip: enable opening settings in a tab instead of a new window) and select Light when you are on your site you want to keep in light mode.

On 6.5, I had one sometimes, but not always. Not tested yet with 6.6.

@asgeirtj
Hi, a developer ask how it could be reproduced.
Please open a new thread about your issue or add the information to the report VB-99601 if it is yours.Cheers, mib

@jon Thank you for the Dark Mode theme for all websites. This is a huge plus for me as I always prefer to have a dark background when reading webpages.
Awesome! -
On YouTube.com when I click on a video, it loads in the same tab and strats playing the video, so far so good. But if I middle-click to load the video in a new tab, it loads the video in a new tab but does NOT start it playing as soon I click on the tab... before the latest update, it did play the video. Bug or Settings problem?
-
Is there a way to hibernate Web Panels by chance in Vivaldi 6.6?

Happens to me too! And what is worse, it also pauses video playback after an ad. And if there are two ads in a row, it pauses the second ad too.

AFAIK, no. You only can kill their process in the Vivaldi Task manager (Shift-Esc, or search for it in the Quick Commands pop-up), but youโll have to manually reload it afterwards.
The other solution is to quit and restart Vivaldi: if you set the lazy load of the panels on, they will be in hibernation when the browser is restarted.
-
After the update, you cannot mark the address in the address bar with the mouse, using ctrl+a and or part of it.

@Kevinar
Hi, I can on Opensuse Linux, all 3 method's work.
Please test this in a private window and/or the guest view, this except extensions and use the default settings.https://help.vivaldi.com/article/guest-view/
Will check on Windows 11 later.
