@ryofurue The bug which got fixed is VB-104418, for which yours is one of several duplicates. That was released in the Stable version earlier this week

It has been fixed internally, as well (that is where it was fixed first), but we have not yet released a snapshot of the internal builds, so it is still broken in this, the most recent snapshot, since that was the RC of the Stable build release last week. Stay tuned for a Snapshot build, when it is ready.

So, it seems to me that I have been totally mistaken as to the relationship between Stable and Snapshot.

I thought that the Stable was currently 6.5.x and currently you were working on the release candidate for the future Stable 6. 6. y.

I thought that Stable gets updates only for security issues and that the same security patches are applied both to the the Stable and Snapshot versions, and therefore Stable can never be functionally newer than Snapshot . . . .

I think so: Snapshots are nothing else than beta preversions for the next Stable version. They are not parallel branches living aside of the other one.

(FYI: there is an “alpha” branch known as Soprano, like the Mozilla’s Nightly channel for Firefox, but it is reserved to a little number of testers and these preversions are not public, as they can be very buggy and unstable)

So, the 6.6 Snapshot branch became the new 6.6 Stable branch on 29 February (ten days ago), and it had a first minor security and bugfixes update, last Wednesday, including yours.

But the new Snapshot branch (for Vivaldi 6.7, or 7, to mark the 8th first Stable version’s anniversary?) was not publicly started yet, as Yngve said. It will be only when started that the Snapshot branch will be ahead of the Stable branch again.
