Bing rewards bug

Hello, I would like to report a bug on the Bing search engine
I have been unable to earn points when using Vivaldi, it is bugged saying that I have earned already the daily limit, despite not having done a single search.
I tried it on Microsoft edge and there is no issue there.
Anyone experiencing such issue? I am not sure if it is really Vivaldi specific tho.
Using: 6.4.3160.47 (Stable channel) (64-bit)

Yes it's the same. I searched for other people to report this but could never find it.
My search entries on bing do not count on Microsoft Rewards any more.
This has led me to switch to using edge or chrome as my searches on those apps are counted.

Probably not a bug, as Vivaldi would earn micropayments for each Bing search. Microsoft must be detecting referrals.

I have the same as well.. tried to remove the referral string from the search settings but still no search points

@Veddu Try this:
- Settings > Privacy > Tracking Prevention. Disable this option:
Block Hyperlink Audit Tracker - Close any open Bing tabs
- Restart browser
- Go back to Settings, make sure setting is still Disabled. Some extensions like uBlock Origin will reset this setting back to Enabled.
- Test again
Looks like MS might be using Hyperlink Audit Tracking for the search points to work.

Did not work. Even disabled adguard adblocker.
Edit: Could be related to my account. Signed out my account and the rewards was starting to work.

How does that work? You signed in again? I thought you can only get points signed in.
Also you might have spent your days "points" already, I don't know how this works as I don't use Bing.
It worked for me, after disabling this option I got points in Vivaldi. -
The points are getting accumulated even though not signed in. But you will need to have an account to be able to use it or sync them. I tried in edge, same issue there.
Edit: it works for me now again, for now. Went into my rewards profile, clicked on PC search, and it started to mysteriously work again.

Hi, a forum post is not a bug report, maybe a user should report this.
The Vivaldi team can decide if this is a bug or because of the Vivaldi business model.

Can confirm this issue on both desktop and mobile searches. I am using Vivaldi on both my phone and my laptop, both of which does not earn reward points.

Unable to earn Bing points after searching using Vivaldi BrowserThe developer discuss it at moment, one mentioned to disable the ad blocker on the Bing page to get rewards.
I guess he meant the Vivaldi ad blocker but I am not sure, can you test this?Cheers, mib

Do we have any update on this? It doesn't work on any of my devices (Mac, Windows, android and iOS) but all other browsers work. Have tried with chrome, edge, Firefox, and safari.
On Vivaldi, it works temporarily when purging the cache, but it stops working after a while.

I have had issues also and reported them. MS won’t respond as I think it is in the Rewards where the issue resides. It was designed to be an Edge add-on, then a browser add-on.
If I use Vivaldi all seems OK.
If I use the Bing Rewards search(?) it can become messy although I have never gotten the message @Veddu received. -
I have a hardtime believing that this issue is related to bing. I have tried every other major browser on all different OS:es and it works for all except for Vivaldi regardless of OS, with and without adblocker enabled.
The funny thing is that if I use Bing without being signed in on Vivaldi I see the rewards getting counted for each search. But as soon as I sign in that is when it stops working.

Just got my email today regarding my points (they seem to be getting harder & harder to get).
All done with Vivaldi Snaphot versions and logged into my MS account. :puzzled
Do you use the Bing Rewards extension. I am using that when I am trying for points then disable it.

I’m not using the extension. Might give it a try, see if that works better.
I’ve heard that too the rewards are harder to get, but doesn't make sense to me that on Vivaldi I get no rewards but then when I instantly search for the same thing in another browser I get points.

Alright I have been testing out the extension for a while now and so far it is working good and i’m getting the reward points now when searching.
