Hey, Vivaldi team. Any chance we can get an option to hide this?
-
Please, please could you add this option. It would free up valuable screen space and make for a much cleaner look. Xodo Pdf Editor, for example, does this to good effect. Thanks

Hi, this request have 20 user votes in 4 Years, you can vote with the like button in the first post.
I would not wait for it.
If you scroll down the bar disappears, thats fine to me and therefor I don't support this request.Cheers, mib

+1 here. Why does bottom bar even exist?
When you have tab bar and gesture navigation the point of bottom bar is missing.Home button - who use this in 2023?
I use it and I'm sure I'm not the only one. It's a handy button to go back to XP. I can also hang a bookmarklet on this button, e.g. "quick enable fullscreen-mode".
Back and forward - back is achieved by gesture and forward is in that customizable bar under the Vivaldi button
Yeah, but there's no back and forth story. This is one of the striking features of Vivaldi browser on android!
Bookmarks - its also in vivaldi button menu
Now there's a bottom menu button with as many as five tabs!
Tabs - part of it is Tab bar. And ability to switch between private tabs, cloud tabs etc should be in vivaldi menu. Since it's not something you use all the time, so it shouldn't be always on screen.
At the bottom, a visual selector that supports drag-n-drop is called up. It is really well done.

Considering how many functions are now tied to the bottom navigation bar, introducing an optional disabling of it means creating a bunch of new bugs in the browser.
So I agree with you completely, I don't support this idea either. -
I use gesture navigation, the nav bar does not disappear when scrolling down!
-
You can still get the bar in other full screen apps by first dragging up from the bottom of the screen. If it causes problems you don't need to enable to option!
-
Sorry, are we talking about the Vivaldi navigation bar, or the phone / tablet's navigation bar here? It's the latter I would like to be able to hide.
-
@far4 somehow all these super necessary options are no longer so important when the adress bar is at bottom... are Vivaldi android devs THAT LAZY or so bad at coding that it's impossible for them to make it look the same way at bottom and at top?

Already mentioned the needed steps to report a Bug, those are the same for a Feature Request, a "Bug" Report.
There are many FR on top of the table they are working on, and they are all in an cue.
Your understanding of a request and the Devs planing work behind all of them is limited.
Aside,
They have to match their already Company planned Features and the User's Feature Request.Apart of that,
FR depends on the user's votes to define whether something is widely "needed/wanted" or not.
So vote for the one's you want to be implemented and find out workarounds in the meantime.Play with flags and customizations meanwhile.

Vivaldi already has the option to hide the phone's status bar. It would be nice if we also had the option to hide the phone's navigation bar. This would free up valuable screen space, especially with tablets. This has been done to good effect on Xodo Pdf Viewer, for example.
Hi Zalex108, please could you reinstate my feature request, as it is not the same as this one. I'm would like the option to hide the phone's navigation bar, not Vivaldi's navigation bar. Thanks.

Home, forward, backward buttons are useless in 2024, please let us combine all navigation features in top address bar
