Option to close all tabs when app is closed

@creibens Hi, there is already an option to close all tabs on exit, go to V → Settings → Privacy → Clear session browsing data on exit → Closes all open tabs on exit.
I found this option and activated it. This works, but only if I exit Vivaldi explicitely via menu.
-
This option exists on Brave Android. Firefox do not have this option.
But this option will be great. I usually do not leave tabs open. So this option will be great. I upvote your request.
Yes. This can be done now by closing the app from Menu, but i prefer the option to close the tabs upon closing the app itself.
-
@creibens Yes, it only works if you exit with the command in the menu.
-
Please consider adding the option to close tabs automatically on exit ( by just closing the app by pressing the back button or clearing it from recent apps menu ). This is the only option holding me back from using Vivaldi on android. I use Vivaldi primarily on desktop.

Happy almost second birthday to this feature request, which still hasn't been implemented, and is still the most infuriating thing I deal with on my phone every day.
-
Just to remind... It's not fulfilled yet
-
@lockrol You sure? Though perhaps the setting Clear session browsing data on Exit would do too much more - not completely certain from the name. With that name it should close tabs but may also delete cookies or history.
-
@sgunhouse well that's will do... But u have to select exit for that.
But it should clear even if I close by other means, like clearing from recent list!
Also it isn't clearing site settings -
Yeah, this is awful.
Why does this browser not close tabs when it is removed from the active apps list?
Why do I have to manually close tabs?
This make no sense at all, all other browser apps start up clean but Vivaldi has 99 tabs opened all the time even if I haven't used it for a month. This is unworkable.

@contactamy Same thing here. Current Brave user giving Vivaldi a try. To be quite honest, the only reason I can think of not to implement such a feature is that Vivaldi wants the data to be saved (which websites you have visited last). This seems quite suspicious to me, so I am aborting mission. Even on Vivaldi’s lockdown mode the app still keeps track of your open tabs. Big red flag there. No, thanks.

This makes no sense. If Vivaldi wanted to harvest your data they could do so fine if there was actually a way to have tabs killed.
The problem is annoying, I always have 100 + tabs open because of this dumb bug, but it's no use making up issues like you're doing to clarify it.

@Onweerwolf Did you ever figure this out? This started for me some weeks ago and by now it's driving me nuts. I just want the search term to stay in the search box the way it always has and the way it does for every other human.
