systemctl soft-reboot of systemd 254 ... Arch
i've now read

- https://mastodon.social/@pid_eins/110272799283345055
but atm i still can't quite understand what will happen once i use
systemctl soft-reboot
in konsole. atm it's not convenient to try it, but maybe later tonight before bed i might try it... -
Attention fellow arching-vivaldifarians!
I have just updated the most arch vivaldi script/package: `vivaldi-autoinject-custom-js-ui` which is available on both GitHub and the AUR .
- https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/vivaldi-autoinject-custom-js-ui
When installed from the AUR a pacman hookfile will be installed as well, that automatically execute the script when vivaldi is updated.
Oh and the script is kind of a manager for custom javascript mods, so you don't need to think about manually editing the `window.html` file.
Have a great day btw!

@DoctorG Aha!
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack noobs on fire off the shoulder of Opera. I watched Mods glitter in the dark near the Vivaldi Forum. All those moments will be lost in time, like tst in rain.β―Time to die.

important. good riddance, i say!nice to see you've happily adopted the FOSS non-YT alternative

hahaha hohoho heeheehee, i still find it perverse & amazeballs when peeps continue trying to justify running kde plasma on non-rollers . imo, they're so deluded. it's similarly amusing to read those who feel they're edgy by using neon
https://safereddit.com/r/kde/comments/17udh0s/is_kde_plasma_better_on_a_rolling_release_distro/
-
@ybjrepnfr On top of that I find it perverse & amazeballs when deluded peeps continue trying to justify running anything else than Arch, when Arch is simply the best.
<- mea culpa
-
@npro wait, wot -- now you've confused me. you do run arch, so wot do you mean?
-
in the... not so very distant past I have sinned a little ...
-
@npro oh yes ofc i know that, but hey, you turned the corner, saw the light, & embraced the goodness of purity!
-
@ybjrepnfr said in Arching Vivaldifarians.:

that I knew already ofc, trying to justify running anything else was inexcusable
-
@npro kinda like justifying using Vivaldi at this point... it's been trully horrible for some months, good think I didn't take your Floorp review seriously and gave it a chance
-
@npro yeah, my floorp [writing this in floorp right now, ofc] continues to be brilliant, i really am pleased to have discovered it, & persisted with it to overcome my highly ignorant initial negativity.
i've not yet done this new snappie update, but these days i never feel any great need to rush into them either... that day i made that shock discovery that i can no longer obfuscate / spoof my canvas fingerprint in it, continues to horrify me & keep my heart turned away from v. eg, the otherwise impressive big changelog for this new snappie means ~zero to me, given all of the ui & core changes remain built on this unprivate base. until devs fix that, i'll never be able to return to v as my daily browser, & so floorp will be unchallenged for me.
-
@ybjrepnfr yeah I also write from Floorp, I have been using it basically since I discovered it (thanks:) ). Since then I just check the Snapshots in the hope that those really frustrating issues with the abrupt disappearance of thumbnails and the private window crashes have been fixed, but apparently, for 2 months now nothing has been done. I think I lost my temper and patience with it already... So, with that said I think it's maybe the time for a "Arching Floorpfarians" thread .

Oh yeah baby!
Shall we try it? Will it get shut down?
-
@ybjrepnfr lol why would it be, it's under GNU/Linux.
My only objection -that I haven't thought much about yet- is if another thread called "I broke up with Vivaldi and making out with Floorp" would be more appropriate - in the "Browsers" section ofc - .../edit... nah... ok "Arching Floorpians" is certainly much cooler
