I would like to see some additional work on the reader mode.
First off, it's buried in a menu and I didn't even know it was available until I found it by accident. As I read a lot of information online, it's very handy to have to cut down on my eye strain.
I'd like to be able to either access it with a keyboard or mouse shortcut. Readability app lets me use the ~ key to access their mode.
Can we change the screen color to black with white text to further cut down on eye strain? Can we change the font or modify the size of the letters on screen? Can we set it so that we can turn images in the main body of text on or off?
Firefox has a very nice built-in reader mode that you can access with a single mouse click that lets you choose between several different fonts, screen colors (white on black, black on white, and a sepia tone on cream) and change the size of the letters. It's extremely helpful on some mobile sites when I access their mobile browser on Android as well. I'm okay with using Readability, but something built-in would let me get away with one less add-on to my browser.

1. A proper bookmarks drop-down list like the one old Opera (12.18 and older) and Internet Explorer have.
Why this haven't been added from the very beginning I don't know, but I refuse to use any browser without it as my primary browser. Once that is added I will consider switching fully over to Vivaldi as my main browser.
2. The ability to automatically open the Downloads TAB (NOT the side-panel) when staring a download.
3. More info available on the downloads tab (like in opera 12.18),
4. The ability to set "Save As" as the default action when downloading things. Alternatively at least the ability to completely disable the default download location.

1. MMB to open new tabs
2. Built in Proxy settings
3. Opera 12 tab stacking
4. Cache management settings
5. Scrolling Speed settings (mousewheel.min_line_scroll_amount in Firefox)
6. Move Menu button to the right
7. Portable version
8. Zoom buttons (not slider!) on Address Bar
9. Bookmark menu button on Address Bar
10. Download button on Address Bar
11. Smooth scrolling improvements
12. Security and privacy improvements -
One thing I'd love to see is being able to drag and drop text to the Plus sign to create a new tab and instantly search for it.
This is a really great feature that I always used in Firefox, and I really miss this.

I have two ides:
1. I all other browsers, when you move cursor all the way up (top pixel on the screen), and browser is maximised, you can select tabs. It's very fast and easy when you learn to change tabs this way.
In Vivaldi tabs are few pixels under that, so I move mouse up, and then I have to move it down just a little bit to change tabs
P.S. but still, it's good idea to be able to move window just by going to top, so maybe to have option in setting "Tabs touch upper edge" or something like this.2. I hope everybody knows, mouse wheel click (third button) can "open link in new tab" or if you click on tab name, you close that tab.
Can you add option that when you wheel-click on Back or Forward, Vivaldi opens that "Back" or "Forward" page in new tab? -
[ol]
- Option to remove tab spacing in ALL windows: The space above tabs is a huge pain when a non-maximized window has its upper border touching the top edge of the display (100% of my usage as I split the screen in half between two windows). There should be an option that makes it so the tabs always go all the way to the edge of the window.
- More flexible tiling: It shouldn't require untiling and retiling tabs to switch one of the tiles. You should be able to easily swap any tab into a current tile, replacing a currently tiled tab, without affecting the other tile(s).
- Option to remove home button: No one even uses this antiquated feature. It just clutters the interface.

These are the most important things for me - I won't switch without these:
[ul]- Ability to tear off a tab to create a new window
- We can now open a new tab page to our homepage, which is great - but I'd like an option to put the focus in the address bar after that page loaded
- Remove 'open link in a new tab' from the new tab mouse gesture - I don't care if I'm on a link, I always want to go to a new blank tab
- ability to remove back-forward-refresh-etc buttons
- ability to change the position of the search box, and to set it's search to 'find on page'
- smarter address completion - vivaldi always chooses a long address, when I'd like to go to the 'root' instead - take a look at how firefox does it
[/ul]

Panel Improvements:
Left pane is annoing. It can be improved very well.
Add option to itegrate left panel icons with the panel at down side of browser.I'm talking about this:
Why not add option to integrate down and left panel together?
Around 99% of time i do not need left panel, but around 95% of time i need panel at down.
All what i need from left panel is: bookmarks, and download buttons. So, why not add these buttons to bottom (down) panel?
Please add such option. How it can looks like:
vivaldi://settings
Why i need this?
I need to see always downloads & bookmarks buttons, but i do not want to see this ugly panel which remove really important pixels from websites. -

I need to see always downloads & bookmarks buttons, but i do not want to see this ugly panel which remove really important pixels from websites.even if you integrate it to the "downtown" panel, not everybody has it enabled and your idea will force people to have it enabled. the vivaldi team would have to make a bigger bar, because let's agree: a download button with 1/3 the original size? how am I suppose to click and better: how is a disabled person that has some trouble to move the arms will click it easily? so you'll need a bigger "downtown" panel… your idea gives more pixels horizontally, but vertically it will take some... so it's pretty much the same, to don't talk that would seem odd having those 4 buttons on the bottom of the browser alongside with those advanced tools...
and besides, what's the trouble with the bar? instead of showing on the site "I wanna be a big daddy"
it will show "I wanna be a big
daddy".
will you die to have to scroll more 3 or 4 lines? LOL -
better search field and suggestion
I use firefox, and firefox has a very powerful search field. a feature I love on the search field is, opon fresh instalation, firefox creates a baloon and asks you if you want Firefox to suggest websites. I will explain using an example.
â–¬___behavior on vivaldi
Vivaldi suggests the last website I visited that belongs to the domain. what I mean is: you visit http://www.wired.com/2016/08/shouldnt-go-mars-might-decimate-martians/ . when you search on the address bar the keyword "wired", vivaldi will auto complete with .com/2016/08/shouldnt-go-mars-might-decimate-martians/. so to go to wired.com, you first have to write it and enter the website, only than vivaldi is suggesting wired.com
basically vivaldi suggests the last website you visited that correspond to the keyword:
as you see, vivaldi suggests always the last one you visited related to the keyword, instead of the orange link: the website I really want…behavior on Firefox
you went to http://wired.com/2016/08/shouldnt-go-mars-might-decimate-martians/ . you closed it, now you write on the address bar "wired" and this is what firefox shows:
I didn't even went to wired.com, I searched "wired" right after entering the second link it appears on the screenshot, and firefox is already suggesting me the main website, wired.com, as well as showing me the history (the second link) and suggestions of common themes related to the "wired" word.see the difference? Vivaldi could suggest the main site of some link I clicked instead of the last page related I visited… sometimes it's a pain in the butt to have to write the full domain "fiwefirejdkvs.com" and than click backspace to delete the suggestion (or better saying: the last website I visited related to the keyword fiwefirejdkvs), while firefox barely I start writting "fiwefire" it is already suggesting fiwefirejdkvs.com (and not the subdomain I last visited: fiwefirejdkvs.com/creation-material).
I think the text is clear enough, maybe a bit messy since I have other things on my mind, but I think it's enough to understand my point.

Another thing I would like for 1.4 is further development of rounded corners of the UI, which you started but haven't finished yet, and there are even some problems like rounded tabs, Quick Commands and SD thumbnails not being rounded like they were in the first snapshot of 1.3.
Tab thumbnails, add bookmarks pop-up, rounded loading bar on both address bar and tabs, rounded bar under "Speed Dial" in SD page, rounded close button on tabs, etc.
Those fixes and new roundedness are things I'd like to see introduced in 1.4. Rounded corners were introduced in 1.3, were really good for the first snapshot, but got worse, and it feels incomplete. I'd like to see it be completed.

Requestingr x button at the end of the username field ("Email or Phone") on Facebook to allow quick deletion of password being inadvertently typed into that field.

[…]
Why i need this?
I need to see always downloads & bookmarks buttons, but i do not want to see this ugly panel which remove really important pixels from websites.Someone else already asked the same thing, but the left panel bar is NOT just another button bar… it's the edge of the panel itself! It's part of the UI for toggling associated UI items right next to it. It makes no sense to put them on the other side of the screen somewhere.
And there are going to be more panels coming, important ones like mail. And you can add your own web panels. So these panel buttons should definitely be where they are right now.
In future you might be able to add different buttons to different bars, so when that happens you can do what you want (then you'll have to request an option to never show the panel button bar!).
For now I think it's easiest to press F4 to hide the panel interface after using it (or activate the panel toggle in the settings).

Hi I already asked this before:
When opening the list of previous pages by right-clicking the back button, one should be able to open these links in a new/background tab. Chrome, Opera and Firefox do this as well and it's usefull.

No it doesn't help. The feature is not supported yet.
Shift+Click, Ctrl+Click, or Middle-click on the Back Button history menu all do the same as single-click.
